Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yrjo Pieru!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tam Tam Waddy!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Waddy dives in and grabs Pieru's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pieru pushes down on Waddy's head and hops out.
No luck for Waddy with that takedown attempt.
Waddy gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Waddy closes the distance and clinches up with Pieru, looking for a takedown. Waddy pushes Pieru against the cage but Pieru circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Yrjo Pieru has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tam Tam Waddy.
Waddy is trying hard to land a takedown here. Pieru sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Waddy wants to clinch up but Pieru keeps it at a distance.

Pieru's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Pieru leaves Waddy with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

and Pieru counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Waddy thinking.
Pieru paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Pieru throws an overhand right that lands on Waddy's shoulder, as Waddy tries to avoid the shot.
Pieru connects with a single shot there.
Waddy tries for a takedown but Pieru circles away easily
and Pieru counters with a nice uppercut.
Waddy takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Waddy displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Pieru throws out the jab.
Pieru misses with an uppercut.
Waddy uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Pieru.
Pieru throws a big shot that misses.
Tam Tam Waddy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Waddy misses with a takedown
and Pieru counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Waddy has his takedown stuffed
and Pieru counters with a stiff right hand.

Pieru connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Waddy scores with a takedown into Pieru's guard.
Pieru manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Pieru comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Pieru is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Pieru closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Waddy is rocked!
Waddy blocks a jab.
Waddy is still on wobbly legs! Can Pieru finish him?
Pieru throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Waddy stumbling backwards into the cage! Waddy bounces back off the cage towards Pieru, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Pieru lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Pieru celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Yrjo Pieru!
