The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Alyssa Summers and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Camello Barros fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gore sprawls well initially but Camello Barros persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Camello Barros is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Gore has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Camello Barros is working away from the top position though.
Camello Barros is trying to control. Gore wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Gore gets full guard.
Camello Barros is pushing down on Gore's leg trying to pass to half guard. Gore is fighting to maintain full guard but Camello Barros has managed to sneak the leg through.

Camello Barros goes for an armbar but Gore turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Gore.

Gore thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Camello Barros is looking for a triangle but Gore pushes his legs off easily.
Camello Barros working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gore doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gore manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Gore wants to control from the top but Camello Barros keeps moving.
Camello Barros has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gore can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Camello Barros escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gore gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gore stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Camello Barros swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Camello Barros looking for subs off his back but Gore has passed one foot through into half guard.
Gore knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Camello Barros on the ground.
Camello Barros wants to control but Gore is keeping busy.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Camello Barros is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gore pulls his head out easily.

Camello Barros is looking for a sweep. Gore is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Camello Barros is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gore's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gore's back!
Gore is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Camello Barros gets his way!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Gore throws a leg kick but Camello Barros checks it.
Camello Barros shoots in for a takedown but Gore shows good takedown defense.
Gore cracks a nice hook into Camello Barros's ribs.
Camello Barros swats away the attempt to clinch by Gore.
Gore misses with a double jab.
Camello Barros avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Gore looks to land a right hand but Camello Barros moved out of range.
Camello Barros closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gore circles away.
Horrible takedown by Camello Barros or perhaps it was just good defense by Gore which made him look bad.
Tyree Gore has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Victor Camello Barros.
Gore throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Camello Barros feints and as Gore raises his hands in defense, Camello Barros changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Camello Barros has hold of Gore's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Gore manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Camello Barros is working for a guillotine from mount but Gore frees his head quite easily.
Gore is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Gore's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Camello Barros can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Gore is looking to escape.
Gore defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Camello Barros.

Camello Barros is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Gore has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Camello Barros moves to back control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Camello Barros is riding his opponent, not letting Gore buck him off.
Camello Barros is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Gore knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Gore for a finish.
