Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Marghareti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santos kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Ransom. The crowd seem to be enjoying Marghareti's choice of entrance music: WHAM. Marcus Santos could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Antonio Marghareti's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcus Santos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Antonio Marghareti!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Jonathan Paton and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marghareti changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Santos tries to avoid it but Marghareti manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Santos to the ground. Santos escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Marghareti fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Marghareti tries to clinch but Santos is having none of it.
Marghareti scores a takedown into full mount!

Marghareti is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Santos is surviving well by controlling Marghareti's body position as best he can.
Santos is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Santos is trying desperately to improve position.
Marghareti can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Santos is looking to escape.

Marghareti takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Marghareti breaks from Santos's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Santos wants to hold on but Marghareti pushes him away.
Marghareti swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Santos is now in Marghareti's guard. A big mistake from Marghareti there, giving up the dominant position!
Santos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Marghareti swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Santos decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Santos shoots and misses
and Marghareti decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Santos's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Marghareti wants to pass the guard but Santos is keeping the position.
Santos can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Marghareti controls the pace.

Marghareti passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Marghareti wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Santos, who protects the arm well.
You can see the frustration on Santos's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Santos knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Marghareti on the ground.

Marghareti has an Americana. Santos didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Marghareti is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Marghareti hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
