PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between big black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nate Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). black comes to the cage accompanied by my life. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes throws a series of punches but black avoids them all with ease.
Barnes connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
black shoots for a double leg takedown but Barnes sprawls well. He's pushed black's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
black shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Barnes sprawls well. Barnes wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. black gets slowly back to his feet.

black gets the takedown into side control.
Barnes gets back to half guard.
black trying to control the action but Barnes is working from the bottom.
black prevents Barnes from improving his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
black is trying to control the action in half guard but Barnes is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Barnes kicks off black and gets to his feet.

black decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Barnes is looking to improve his position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
black trying to control from half guard but Barnes is working away.
black is looking to advance position but Barnes won't allow it.
black stops Barnes from getting back to his feet.
black seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Barnes does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Barnes controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Barnes lands a straight punch to the body, keeping black at a distance.
black is breathing heavily.

Barnes has taken the fight to the clinch.
Barnes gets through black's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Barnes lands a shot to the body.
Barnes makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
A nice left hand lands by Barnes.
Barnes lands a shot to the body.

Barnes manages to break the clinch.
No luck for black with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for big black. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Barnes thumps black with a low kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Barnes dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on black. That did some damage!
Barnes lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Barnes scores with a nice strike.

It looks like big black has been cut.
Barnes connects with a stiff jab that staggers black - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
