Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brian Christian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raiden Hayashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brian Christian!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Raiden Hayashi!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Steve Montenegro and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Christian tries to clinch there but Hayashi circles away.
Christian fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hayashi lands a head kick. Christian smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Hayashi throws a nice head kick!
Hayashi throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Hayashi lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Hayashi will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hayashi lands with a kick to the temple. Christian shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Christian chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Hayashi can pounce on him.
Christian shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hayashi sprawls well. Hayashi wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Christian gets slowly back to his feet.
Christian blocks a head kick by Hayashi.
Raiden Hayashi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Hayashi thows a body kick. Christian tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Hayashi throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Christian wants to clinch up but Hayashi keeps it at a distance.
Hayashi tries a head kick but it misses.
Raiden Hayashi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Christian takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Hayashi stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Hayashi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Christian throws a series of punches but Hayashi moves out of range.
Christian steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Hayashi. That one must have hurt.
Christian is breathing heavily.
Christian takes a kick to the side of the head.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hayashi lands a high kick!
A chopping leg kick lands by Hayashi.
Hayashi bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Hayashi throws a sloppy head kick and Christian moves out of range easily.
Hayashi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Christian avoids the head kick by Hayashi.
Hayashi moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Christian sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Hayashi throws a sloppy head kick and Christian moves out of range easily.

Christian has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Hayashi.
The crowd cheers as Hayashi lands an impressive looking overhand right. Christian doesn't seem phased though.
Christian takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Hayashi lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Christian takes a kick to the side of the head.
A punch combination from Hayashi misses.
Hayashi keeps Christian at a distance using the push kick.
Hayashi throws a front kick that sends Christian stumbling back into the cage.
Hayashi goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Christian takes one to the chin there.
Hayashi throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Christian.
Christian will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Hayashi catches Christian with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Hayashi looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Hayashi lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Hayashi fakes the leg kick and cracks Christian in the body.
Hayashi lands with a slapping head kick.
Hayashi closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Hayashi scores with a head kick.
Hayashi pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hayashi goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Hayashi throws a right hand that Christian ducks under and follows up with a left that Christian also avoids with ease.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Hayashi lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Hayashi scores with a one two! Christian had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Christian has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Raiden Hayashi dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Hayashi!
Hayashi throws a head kick that half lands.
Christian tries to clinch but Hayashi is having none of it.
Hayashi throws a nice head kick!
A head kick misses from Hayashi.
Christian tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hayashi swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Christian closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Hayashi wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hayashi is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Christian asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Hayashi on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Christian will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Christian closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Christian lands in his opponent's guard.

and Christian counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Hayashi!

Christian postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Hayashi looks a forlorn figure.

Christian jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Hayashi is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Hayashi and Christian has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Hayashi is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Christian shoots in and bounces Hayashi off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Hayashi pushes Christian off and gets back to his feet.
Hayashi lands with a slapping head kick.
Christian takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Hayashi throws a head kick but Christian moves out of range.
Hayashi goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Christian shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hayashi pinned against the cage. Hayashi gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brian Christian. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Christian shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
You get the feeling that Hayashi really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Christian cracks Hayashi with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Christian won't let Hayashi get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Christian tries to control but Hayashi wriggling away.
Hayashi wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Christian looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Hayashi is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Christian is in the full mount, landing strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hayashi is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Christian landing strikes from the mount and Hayashi is in trouble!
Christian lands a big shot there that rocks Hayashi but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Hayashi's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Brian Christian overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Christian wants to control the pace but Hayashi is squirming around nicely.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Brian Christian.
I think Christian has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
