Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fu Manchu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chong Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fu Manchu!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chong Li!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manchu pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Li closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Manchu to the mat! Manchu manages to get full guard.
Li looking to pass the guard.

Li is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Manchu knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Li on the ground.
Manchu is looking to stand up but Li isn't so interested in that idea.
Manchu trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Manchu has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Li off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Fu Manchu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice sprawl there from Manchu as Li shoots in.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Li shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Manchu sprawls well. Manchu wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Li gets slowly back to his feet.
Manchu stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Li defending well as Manchu loads up on a big left hand.
Li changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Manchu tries to avoid it but Li manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Manchu to the ground. Manchu escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Fu Manchu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chong Li.
Li tries to close the distance and clinch up but Manchu swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Li throws a push kick but Manchu slaps the foot to one side.
Li looks gassed!
Li drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
The crowd cheers as Manchu lands an impressive looking overhand right. Li doesn't seem phased though.


Li is rocked!
A slow jab from Manchu misses its intended target.
Li is still on wobbly legs! Can Manchu finish him?
Manchu lands with a good body shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Manchu circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Li to the canvas! Li doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Manchu keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Fu Manchu!
Fu Manchu is the new welterweight champion!
