Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Hoban Washburne! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Danny Harper! The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Glass and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Washburne fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Washburne tries to clinch but Harper is having none of it. Washburne throws a sloppy head kick and Harper moves out of range easily. Washburne fails to land the takedown. Washburne is trying hard to land a takedown here. Harper sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hoban Washburne. That's going to take a lot out of him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Harper is working for a kimura but Washburne is defending it quite comfortably.

Harper thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Washburne postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Harper is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Washburne, into his guard. Harper drops back looking for a leg! Washburne is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Washburne manages to kick Harper off! Harper jumps back into Washburne's guard. Washburne bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Harper's guard. Washburne stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Harper swivels though and keeps the full guard. Washburne has gone for a leg lock! Harper slips out almost immediately though and dives into Washburne's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Washburne working for a triangle but Harper defends it easily.

Harper works his way back into a safe position though. Harper stands up and waves to Washburne to follow him. Washburne dives in and grabs Harper's left leg, looking for a takedown. Harper pushes down on Washburne's head and hops out. Washburne shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Harper sprawls well. Harper wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Washburne gets slowly back to his feet. Hoban Washburne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Washburne is trying hard to land a takedown here. Harper sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Danny Harper will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Harper shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Washburne's guard. Washburne has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Harper can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Washburne is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Harper got a little sloppy there for a moment and Washburne has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Harper has managed to get both his arms back between Washburne's legs - danger averted. Harper thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Harper trying to control the position from guard on top but Washburne is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Harper tries to free his leg and advance position but Washburne is retaining full guard. Harper drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Harper jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Harper won't allow Washburne to sweep him here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Washburne gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily so Harper counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Washburne escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Harper gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Harper avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Harper is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Washburne pulls down on the head and he's put Harper to sleep! This one is all over!
