Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Thomas Power! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Power keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Power connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Power closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Wells to the mat! Wells manages to get full guard. Power showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Power wanted to stand there but Wells had control of the position. Wells is breathing heavily. Power stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wells swivels though and keeps the full guard. Power wants to control from the top but Wells keeps moving. Power stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Power is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Power really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wells. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Wells wants to sweep but no luck. Wells tries to land a sweep but no joy. Power controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Power stands up from guard. Let's bang! Power tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wells paws at him with a jab and circles away. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Power clinches with his opponent.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Power misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Wells.

Wells has gone for a leg lock! Power slips out almost immediately though and dives into Wells's guard. Thomas Power has got the better of the ground game so far. Power tries to free his leg and advance position but Wells is retaining full guard. Power stands up from guard. Let's bang! Wells swats away the attempt to clinch by Power. Power throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Power is looking to clinch but Wells is avoiding it.
Wells misses with a takedown and Power counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Wells's guard now. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Power drops back looking for a leg! Wells is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wells manages to kick Power off! Power jumps back into Wells's guard. Wells had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Power is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Wells Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Power's back instead. Wells patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Wells is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Power has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Power tries to roll but Wells sticks to his back.
Wells has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Power! Can he survive? No! He's out! Wells gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:03 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Andre Wells! Andre Wells retains his light heavyweight title!
