Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ogami Itto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Quinton Jackson! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paul Aken and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson takes a swing at Itto's ribcage but misses. Jackson wants to clinch up but Itto keeps it at a distance. Itto tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Jackson misses with a wild combination.
Jackson jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Nice defenses there by Jackson. Jackson throws a nice looking combination but Itto bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Itto uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jackson. Nice defenses there by Itto. Itto swings and misses with a shot to the body and Jackson counters with a stiff right hand. Itto moves away from the strike by Jackson.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Itto moves away. A slow jab from Jackson misses its intended target. Itto throws a shot from downtown. Jackson moves away and avoids it. Jackson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Itto circles away quickly and effectively. Jackson connects with a right hand. Itto shakes it off. Jackson throws a nice looking combination but Itto bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Itto uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jackson. Itto swats away the attempt to clinch by Jackson. Itto staying out of range there. Jackson tries to clinch but Itto is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Itto keeps the fight on the outside. Jackson throws a hook but Itto blocks it. Jackson doesn't manage to clinch there - Itto circles away.
Itto scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Jackson looks to land a left hand but Itto moved out of range nicely. Jackson fails in his attempt to clinch. A big right from Itto misses. Itto circles away from the clinch attempt.
Itto moves out of range of the strikes. Jackson throws a right and a left that Itto avoids nicely. Jackson tries to clinch there but Itto circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Itto defending well as Jackson loads up on a big left hand. Jackson drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
It looks like Quinton Jackson has been cut. Jackson slips a jab and a cross from Itto.
Jackson scores with the left hand. Itto knows he should have avoided that one. Jab, jab by Jackson - just one landing. Jackson misses with a hook to the body
and Itto makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Itto keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Jackson. Itto just misses with a punch to the body.
Jackson looks to land a left hand but Itto moved out of range nicely. Jackson tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Itto counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Itto is looking to wear down Jackson with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jackson throws a jab when Itto was well out of range. Jackson looks to score with a jab to the body but Itto is just out of range. Jackson tries to clinch up but Itto circles away and keeps his distance. Itto keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Jackson. Jackson throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Jackson misses with a jab to the body
and Itto counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Jackson thows a body shot but no joy. Itto moves out of range as Jackson strikes. Itto throws a head kick but Jackson moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ogami Itto will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Quinton Jackson's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Itto cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Itto ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Ogami Itto is winning the standup battle so far. Jackson wants to clinch and Itto counters with a crisp right that sends Jackson to the canvas! Itto follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
