Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nathan Hawke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, D C Jackson! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hawke is looking to clinch but Jackson is avoiding it.
Hawke throws a head kick that misses. Jackson swats away the attempt to clinch by Hawke. Jackson lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
It looks like Nathan Hawke has been cut. Jackson tries to clinch but Hawke is having none of it. Jackson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Hawke throws a series of punches but Jackson moves out of range. A head kick misses from Hawke. Jackson slips a jab and a cross from Hawke.
Hawke pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hawke scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Jackson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jackson on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Hawke paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Hawke looks for the body kick but Jackson saw that one coming. Hawke scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Hawke misses with the combination.
Hawke throws a nice looking combination but Jackson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. A slow jab from Hawke misses its intended target. Hawke goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Hawke lands a two punch combo.
Hawke lands with a nice combination. Jackson backs away looking to recover. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jackson is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Hawke. A decent looking cross lands there for Hawke. Hawke misses the shot to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hawke.
Hawke misses with a double jab
and Jackson counters with a shoot takedown. Hawke fights it but they end up in guard. Jackson won't allow Hawke to get back to his feet. Jackson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hawke dives on top into guard. Jackson has a closed guard, preventing Hawke from standing up. Jackson pulls Hawke in close to his closed guard and prevents Hawke from doing any damage or advancing position. Jackson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson throwing shots but Hawke is blocking nicely. Jackson wants to work for an arm triangle but Hawke is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Hawke getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Hawke stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hawke wants it to stay on the feet. Jackson moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Hawke missing with a left hand there. Jackson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Hawke swings and misses with a shot to the body and Jackson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hawke's guard. Jackson won't allow Hawke to sweep him here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jackson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Hawke working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Jackson has passed into half guard!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Jackson works his foot free and advances to mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nathan Hawke dominated that round. The cut man is working on Nathan Hawke's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Hawke displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Nice uppercut lands for Hawke. That snapped Jackson's head back.
Hawke has his takedown stuffed and Jackson moves into the clinch. Jackson jumps guard but Hawke stands there with Jackson around his waist. Jackson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hawke postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Jackson pulls Hawke in close to his closed guard and prevents Hawke from doing any damage or advancing position. Hawke won't allow Jackson to sweep him here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hawke throws a big right hand that misses. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jackson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hawke manages to get himself to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hawke preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Hawke keeping moving, preventing Jackson from controlling successfully. Jackson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Hawke looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Jackson drops back looking for a leg! Hawke is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hawke manages to kick Jackson off! Jackson jumps back into Hawke's guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Jackson defending well as Hawke loads up on a big left hand. Hawke throws a good cross that connects.
Nathan Hawke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hawke does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Hawke misses with a few strikes there.
Hawke looks to land a right hand but Jackson moved out of range. Hawke falls off balance throwing a combination
and Jackson counters with a nice double leg into guard. Jackson advances position into side control! Jackson looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Hawke is avoiding damage well.
Jackson postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Jackson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hawke knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Jackson is trying to get an arm triangle but Hawke is defending well. Jackson is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The strikes coming from Jackson are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Hawke is looking to reverse the position. Jackson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hawke knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Hawke is pushing Jackson's head away, looking to escape. Jackson manages to hold on to the position though.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hawke swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Jackson counters by moving into the clinch. Hawke gets through Jackson's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
D C Jackson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Nathan Hawke's cut. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

and Jackson counters by moving into the clinch. Jackson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hawke walks away with a smile on his face. Jackson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Hawke throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Jackson on the side of the head. Nice uppercut there from Hawke. Hawke pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Jackson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Nathan Hawke is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hawke fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Jackson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Jackson on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

and Jackson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hawke won't be happy with that. Jackson throws an elbow but Hawke slips to the side and avoids it well. Hawke manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Hawke knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jackson on the ground. Jackson trying to control but Hawke postures up.

Jackson is looking to control Hawke's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jackson avoid being mounted?

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hawke works over Jackson's head and body with a nice combination. Hawke scores with a three punch combo!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hawke misses with a takedown attempt and Jackson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Jackson. Hawke lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Hawke is pressed up against the cage. Jackson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hawke down to the mat. Hawke avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Hawke lands a jab to Jackson's midsection. No joy there for Hawke, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A punch combination from Hawke misses. Hawke lands a head shot. Jackson shoots for a double leg takedown but Hawke sprawls well. He's pushed Jackson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Nathan Hawke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of D C Jackson. Jackson takes one on the chin but seems OK.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hawke misses with a few strikes there.
Hawke throws a series of strikes that have Jackson backpedaling.
Hawke shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Jackson moves into the clinch. Jackson has Hawke pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hawke manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Hawke lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Jackson backwards. Jackson tries for a takedown but Hawke manages to get underhooks.
A short left from Hawke. Hawke escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hawke paws at him with a jab and circles away. Left hook, right uppercut from Hawke. Hawke looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hawke clinches up with Jackson and pushes him back against the cage. Hawke escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jackson has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Hawke lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Jackson at a distance.
Hawke throws out a leg kick but Jackson moves out of range and Hawke only half commits. Hawke swinging wildly here.
Nice sprawl there from Hawke as Jackson shoots in. Hawke tries for a takedown but Jackson circles away easily and Jackson counters with a shoot takedown. Hawke fights it but they end up in guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hawke not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
D C Jackson has got the better of the ground game so far. Jackson has gone for a leg lock! Hawke slips out almost immediately though and dives into Jackson's guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Nathan Hawke showed his dominance in that final round. I think Hawke has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
