Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Ass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and tristram Griswold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jack Ass!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, tristram Griswold!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ass shoots in and drives through. Griswold sprawls well.

Ass shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Ass stops Griswold from getting back to his feet.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Ass thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Griswold's head.
Ass trying to control the pace.

Griswold is looking to escape.

Griswold makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Griswold misses with the combination.
Griswold misses with a double jab.

Ass drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Ass tries to move into full mount but can't pass Griswold's legs.

Ass happy to just control the position for now.

Griswold prevents Ass from moving into mount.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Griswold can do anything to dispel that myth.
Ass controlling the position from side mount.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ass tries to advance to mount but can't.
Ass remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ass shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Ass scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Ass prevents Griswold from improving his position.
Griswold tries to kick Ass off but Ass keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Ass with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Ass trying to mount his opponent but Griswold defends it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Jack Ass just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Ass showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Griswold.

Ass works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Ass is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Ass takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Ass winds up and cracks Griswold with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Griswold is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Ass stalling.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Jack Ass just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Griswold throws a shot from downtown. Ass moves away and avoids it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Ass dominated that second round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Griswold throws a series of punches but Ass avoids them all with ease.
Griswold throws a right hand that Ass ducks under and follows up with a left that Ass also avoids with ease.

Ass shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Ass was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Griswold is looking to improve his position but Ass isn't that keen on the idea.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Griswold wants to get back to his feet.
Ass sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Ass seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Griswold for as long as he can get away with.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Jack Ass just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Ass slips a jab and a cross from Griswold.
Griswold looks to throw the jab but Ass is out of range.
Griswold looks to land a combination but Ass avoids it well.

Ass fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Griswold sprawls well initially but Ass persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Ass prevents Griswold from standing back up.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ass in particular looking to stall.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Griswold trying to control but Ass postures up.
Ass is looking to advance position but Griswold won't allow it.
Ass performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that's the end of the fight!
Jack Ass showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ass, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
