Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Austin Gzym (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Montana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Montana comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Rasmus- No fear kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Columbo Gatti and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montana gets the takedown into side control.
Montana trying to control the action but Gzym is working from the bottom.
Montana stands up and beckons Gzym to his feet.
Montana throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Montana tries to bum rush Gzym with a series of wild strikes but Gzym uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Gzym lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
It looks like Joey Montana has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gzym throws a lazy head kick
and Montana counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Gzym's guard now.
Gzym has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Montana off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Montana.
Gzym tries to buck Montana off but Montana is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gzym is working hard here to advance position.
Montana stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Montana feints and as Gzym raises his hands in defense, Montana changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Montana won't allow Gzym to get back to his feet.
Montana decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Montana instigates a clinch.

A left hand lands to the body for Montana.
Montana wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Gzym has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Montana is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Montana manages to pull guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gzym wants to pass the guard but Montana is keeping the position.
Gzym trying to control the position from guard on top but Montana is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Gzym trying to stand up but can't free himself from Montana's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Montana has his foot on Gzym's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gzym works his way back into a safe position though.
Montana keeping moving, preventing Gzym from controlling successfully.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Montana lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

A head kick by Montana misses
and Gzym counters with a single leg into guard. Montana didn't expect that.
Montana really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gzym. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gzym in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Montana tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Gzym!
