Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Andy Arslo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Hernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arslo comes to the cage accompanied by Lime - You're My Magician. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andy Arslo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jose Hernandez! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Steve Erwin and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arslo slaps away a takedown attempt from Hernandez, before circling back to the center of the mat. Hernandez fails to land the takedown. Arslo clinches with his opponent.
Arslo pulls guard. Hernandez is pushing down on Arslo's leg trying to pass to half guard. Arslo is fighting to maintain full guard but Hernandez has managed to sneak the leg through. Hernandez is thwarting Arslo's attempts to control the position. Arslo works his way to full guard. Good work. Arslo has a closed guard, preventing Hernandez from standing up. Hernandez wants to control from the top but Arslo keeps moving. Hernandez tries to free his leg and advance position but Arslo is retaining full guard. Arslo will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Hernandez advances to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hernandez is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Arslo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hernandez on the ground. Hernandez is working for a submission of some sort.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Arslo is looking to improve his position.
Hernandez is working for a kimura but Arslo is defending it quite comfortably.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Hernandez has a takedown stuffed. Andy Arslo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Hernandez. Hernandez misses with a takedown attempt - Arslo sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Nice sprawl there from Arslo as Hernandez shoots in. Hernandez looks gassed! Arslo changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hernandez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Arslo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hernandez keeps working. Arslo cracks Hernandez with an elbow. That is naaassty. Hernandez is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Arslo's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Nice strikes from Arslo there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Arslo is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hernandez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Arslo. Arslo wants to stand up but Hernandez manages to regain full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Arslo controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Hernandez is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Arslo is aware though and is defending well. Arslo showing good wrestling skills to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andy Arslo dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Hernandez shoots and misses and Arslo counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Hernandez fails with the takedown and Arslo decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hernandez's guard. Arslo postures up and lands a big shot to Hernandez's brow. Arslo won't allow Hernandez to sweep him here. Hernandez working for submissions but it's allowed Arslo to get to half guard.
Arslo trying to control from half guard but Hernandez is working away. Arslo slips a nice elbow through Hernandez's hands, connecting with Hernandez's forehead. Hernandez is trying to control but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hernandez wants to get back to full guard. Hernandez looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Hernandez is breathing heavily. Arslo content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Arslo is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hernandez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Arslo. Arslo winds up and cracks Hernandez with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Arslo lands a nice short elbow. Hernandez wants to control but Arslo is keeping busy.
Hernandez wants to get back to full guard. Arslo scores with a couple of good hammerfists. The fighters are battling for position here. Hernandez manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Hernandez wants to sweep here but Arslo controlling him for the moment. Arslo looking to pass the guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Arslo preventing the sweep. Hernandez keeping full guard, as Arslo tries to pass. Arslo avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Arslo drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hernandez manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Arslo has Hernandez in his guard. Hernandez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Arslo swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hernandez sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Arslo's guard. Arslo is looking to improve his position.
Hernandez seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Arslo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Arslo is trying to stand up here but Hernandez is controlling him well. Hernandez has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Arslo defend it? Hernandez steps over the head and cranks it - Arslo is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Hernandez!
