Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Tobkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Alcano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tobkins comes to the ring accompanied by Enter Sandman. Alcano is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Three Stars & A Sun. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Shawn Tobkins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jose Alcano! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Luis Engracia and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some wild striking there from Alcano.
Tobkins ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Tobkins shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Alcano but Alcano pushes him off and we're back to square one. Tobkins bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Alcano struggling a bit here. Alcano is trying to improve his position. Tobkins thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Tobkins goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Alcano rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Tobkins's guard! Nice work there by Alcano! The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Alcano throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alcano drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Alcano jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Tobkins utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Tobkins is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Alcano defends well.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Alcano moves in looking to clinch but Tobkins pushes him off. Alcano buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Alcano bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Tobkins tries to bench press Alcano off him but Alcano keeps the position. Alcano is working Tobkins over with some ground and pound from side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alcano wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tobkins keeps working. Tobkins manages to work his way to half guard, despite Alcano's best efforts. Alcano works his way into full mount! Alcano lands a heavy elbow. Tobkins is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Alcano postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Tobkins looks a forlorn figure.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Alcano landing strikes from the mount and Tobkins is in trouble! Tobkins really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tobkins is trying desperately to improve position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alcano with a couple of short strikes. Alcano fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Tobkins is rocked! The referee warns Tobkins that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Oh Tobkins is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Oooooh, big shot lands for Alcano! Tobkins is hurt baaadly! Alcano is firing away with more strikes - Tobkins is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Jose Alcano!
