Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Nyanthalotep Nassir! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Tom Jones! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jones avoids a kick to the body.
Nassir closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jones to the mat! Jones manages to get full guard. Jones looking to control.
Nassir works a leg free and moves into half guard. Nassir prevents Jones from improving his position. Nassir wants to control but Jones is keeping him busy. Jones is pressing down on Nassir's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Jones keeping full guard, as Nassir tries to pass. Jones has control of Nassir's left arm, preventing Nassir from doing any damage. Nassir trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jones is pulling down on Nassir's head. It's preventing any offense from Nassir, at least for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones wants to sweep but no luck. Jones seems keen to control Nassir's posture. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Jones is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Jones pulls Nassir in close to his closed guard and prevents Nassir from doing any damage or advancing position. Jones thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Nassir wanted to stand there but Jones had control of the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Nassir postures up in Jones's guard and throws a big left but Jones blocks it.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Nassir fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jones sprawls well initially but Nassir persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Jones works his way to full guard. Good work. Jones wants to sweep here but Nassir controlling him for the moment. Nassir thows a big elbow that misses. Nassir chips away with some ground and pound. Jones working a defensive guard but Nassir manages to pass into side control anyway.
Jones tries to buck Nassir off but Nassir is having none of it. Jones tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Nassir presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Jones is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Jones looks gassed!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nassir controlling his opponent. Nassir prevents Jones from getting the reversal. Jones tries to hold on but Nassir pushes him away. Nassir looking to control but Jones is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Nassir looking to secure an arm triangle but Jones defends it well. Nassir controlling from the full mount. Jones is desperately trying to improve his position but Nassir has a good base and remains in mount. Nassir trying to control but Jones is having none of it. Jones tries to hold on but Nassir pushes him away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jones is trying to escape the mount.
Jones tries to hold on but Nassir postures up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nyanthalotep Nassir dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Nassir throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Jones misses with an uppercut. Nice sprawl there from Jones as Nassir shoots in. Nassir clinches up against the cage. Jones drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Nassir gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Nassir wants to break free but Jones has control.
Jones escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nassir throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Jones stuffs the takedown attempt from Nassir. Nassir gets slowly back to his feet. Nassir tries a head kick but it misses.
Nassir keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Jones tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Nyanthalotep Nassir is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nassir with a poor takedown and Jones counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nyanthalotep Nassir. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones content to control rather than advance. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jones scoring with strikes to the body and head. Ground and pound from Jones. Jones moves nicely into side control. Nassir tries to bench press Jones off him but Jones keeps the position. Nassir is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Nassir is refusing to be controlled, as Jones sits in half guard. Nassir is pressing down on Jones's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Nassir holds on and takes a little breather.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nassir looking for a sweep. Not yet Nassir, not yet. Nassir trying to control the position.
Nassir tries to land a sweep but no joy. Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nassir swivels though and keeps the full guard. Jones is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Jones shoots in but Nassir avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nassir fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Excellent takedown into side control there by Nassir. Jones is trying to get back to half guard. Jones can't do much from the bottom here. Jones tries to get back to half guard but can't. Nassir wants to stand but Jones has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard. Jones is looking for a triangle but Nassir pushes his legs off easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones seems keen to control Nassir's posture. Nassir preventing the sweep.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Jones closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Jones working the head and body with strikes. Jones wants to control but Nassir is keeping him busy. Nassir is looking to control Jones's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Nassir avoid being mounted? Nassir actively working from the bottom here. Jones is taking a breather. Nassir says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tom Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Jones moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nassir keeps working. Tom Jones has got the better of the ground game so far. Nassir struggling a bit here. Nassir sneaks back into half guard. Jones takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Nassir gets back to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Jones postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Nassir is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Jones, into his guard. Jones can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Nassir controls the pace. Jones keeping moving, preventing Nassir from controlling successfully. Nassir forces his way into half guard. Jones is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Nassir pulls his head out easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nassir tries to stand and escape but Jones is controlling the position. Jones wants to improve his position but Nassir is controlling well.

Jones is controlling Nassir's posture. Jones is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Jones bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nassir's guard. Nassir wants to sweep but no luck. Jones pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Nassir is keeping the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones postures up.
Jones trying to control but Nassir is working from the bottom. Jones showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Jones pushes down on Nassir's leg and manages to get into half guard. Jones looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Jones is looking to take a break and control but Nassir is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Jones keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Jones tries to pass to full mount but Nassir defends it. Jones is keen to just control but Nassir is a slippery customer.
Despite being in the dominant position, Tom Jones just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nassir gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Jones counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Jones trying to control the action but Nassir is working from the bottom. Nassir has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jones is working away from the top position though.
And that's the end of the fight! Tom Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Jones has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
