Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Gunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bret Hicken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Bret Hicken was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tommy Gunn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bret Hicken!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, John Mangel and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hicken swats away the attempt to clinch by Gunn.
Hicken connects with a jab.
A jab from Gunn finds it's way through Hicken's defenses.
Gunn jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Hicken lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Hicken lands a lovely overhand right.
Gunn takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Gunn doesn't manage to clinch there - Hicken circles away.

Hicken takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Hicken with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Gunn to score with a decent uppercut.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hicken changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gunn looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Hicken connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Gunn some visible discomfort.

Hicken tries to score with some ground and pound. Gunn controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Hicken throws a strike but Gunn rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
And thats the end of the round the fighters go back to their corners.
Bret Hicken dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Hicken throws a jab but it's blocked by Gunn.
Hicken tries a low kick but Gunn avoids it.
Nice uppercut lands for Gunn. That snapped Hicken's head back.

Hicken avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Hicken closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Gunn to the mat! Gunn manages to get full guard.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

That was a close second round but I would say that Tommy Gunn will probably get the nod.

Bret Hicken comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Hicken has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
