Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Francis Smythinton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Francis Smythinton! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Luke Lee! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Damien Edna and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee avoids the body shot from Smythinton.
Lee throws a shot from downtown. Smythinton moves away and avoids it. A looping hook to the body misses from Lee. Smythinton does a little dance to reset his feet. A big right from Lee misses. Smythinton throws a right hand that Lee ducks under and follows up with a left that Lee also avoids with ease. Lee cracks Smythinton with an open hand slap.
It looks like Francis Smythinton has been cut. Smythinton fails to land with a series of punches.
Lee lands a jab to the nose. This has been an exciting period of action! Lee throws out a loose jab but Smythinton uses good head movement to avoid it. Smythinton slaps away a takedown attempt from Lee, before circling back to the center of the mat. Smythinton keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Lee. Smythinton walks into a jab. Lee moves out of range as Smythinton strikes. Lee misses with a series of wild punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Smythinton uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lee. Smythinton paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
It looks like Luke Lee has been cut. Luke Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice sprawl there from Smythinton as Lee shoots in. Francis Smythinton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luke Lee. Lee misses with an uppercut. Smythinton saw that one coming. A punch combination from Lee misses. Left hook, right uppercut from Lee. Lee staying out of range there. Smythinton on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lee connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Smythinton uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lee.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Smythinton's guard. Lee throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Smythinton trying to control the position.
Lee trying to control but Smythinton is working from the bottom. Lee throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Smythinton works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Smythinton is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Lee slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Smythinton might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Lee throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Smythinton avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Lee. Lee working the ground and pound. Lee working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Lee postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Lee wants to control but Smythinton is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smythinton parries the strikes from Lee easily there. Lee is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Smythinton to escape.
Lee working the ground and pound. Lee misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Lee in side control, throwing shots but Smythinton defends. Lee landing strikes. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Sloppy strikes there by Lee. Lee sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Smythinton is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Smythinton tries to get back to half guard but can't. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Luke Lee dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Lee looks to throw the jab but Smythinton is out of range. Lee might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Lee swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Smythinton takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Smythinton throws a right and a left that Lee avoids nicely. Lee shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Lee punching from mount but Smythinton doing a good job of avoiding damage. Lee misses with some ground and pound and Smythinton recovers position to half guard. Smythinton gets full guard. Lee throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Smythinton works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smythinton keeping full guard, as Lee tries to pass. Smythinton preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Smythinton keeping moving, preventing Lee from controlling successfully. Lee is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Lee has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Smythinton controls Lee momentarily but Lee frees himself. Lee postures up in Smythinton's guard and throws a big left but Smythinton blocks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Lee throwing strikes but missing. Lee pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Smythinton is keeping the position for now. Smythinton preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lee missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Lee trying to control but Smythinton is working from the bottom. Lee forces his way into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Smythinton keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Lee shoots in and drives through. Smythinton sprawls well. Smythinton throws a good cross that connects.
Lee fails with the takedown. Lee bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Smythinton keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Smythinton lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Lee backs up against the cage.

Smythinton lands a left and a right that send Lee crashing to the mat, dazed. Smythinton thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Lee is rocked! Smythinton will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

On like donkey kong! Lee throws a hook but Smythinton avoids it easily. Lee cracks Smythinton with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Smythinton misses with a straight right. Lee loads up on a big right hand but Smythinton slips the punch. Lee needs to keep his hands up - Smythinton had a free shot at his head there. Lee throws a body punch but Smythinton moves out of range. Lee tries to bum rush Smythinton with a series of wild strikes but Smythinton uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Lee keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Francis Smythinton clearly takes that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Lee ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Smythinton throws a sloppy body shot
and Lee counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Lee looks to land a combination but Smythinton avoids it well. Smythinton tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lee was well out of range. Poor timing from Smythinton. Lee throws a jab when Smythinton was well out of range. Lee lands a jab. A combination from Smythinton does no damage. Lee throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Smythinton throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A punch combination from Smythinton misses. It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over. Smythinton takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Luke Lee has got the better of the ground game so far. Lee dominating with strikes here. Lee lands a big shot there that rocks Smythinton but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Lee working away from the top, dropping strikes. Lee postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Smythinton looks a forlorn figure.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lee cracks Smythinton with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
