Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Manji Rigaldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Alan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Manji Rigaldo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jason Alan!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Steve Erwin and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rigaldo gets a takedown into half guard.
Rigaldo is looking to take a break and control but Alan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Rigaldo is just content to waste time from the top position. Alan takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Alan is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Rigaldo has managed to free his arm - good work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Rigaldo looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Rigaldo throws a solid leg kick but Alan takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Rigaldo.

Rigaldo shoots for a double leg takedown but Alan sprawls well. He's pushed Rigaldo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Alan bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rigaldo's guard.

Alan is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Jason Alan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Alan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rigaldo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rigaldo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Manji Rigaldo.
I think Alan has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
