Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tariq Ziyad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dom Wicliffe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Ziyad.
Wicliffe throws a looping overhand right but Ziyad ducks down to avoid it.
Ziyad lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Dom Wicliffe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ziyad pushes Wicliffe up against the cage in a clinch.
Ziyad has Wicliffe pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Ziyad pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Wicliffe tumbling to the mat - Ziyad dives into Wicliffe's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ziyad drops back looking for a leg! Wicliffe is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wicliffe manages to kick Ziyad off! Ziyad jumps back into Wicliffe's guard.
Ziyad throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wicliffe works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Wicliffe fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ziyad manages to avoid it.
Wicliffe tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ziyad was well out of range. Poor timing from Wicliffe.
Ziyad on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Ziyad shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Wicliffe throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Wicliffe blocks a head kick by Ziyad.
Wicliffe lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ziyad circles away quickly and effectively.
Wicliffe clinches up against the cage.
Wicliffe is trying to break the clinch but Ziyad has him pressed against the cage.
Wicliffe can't break the clinch.
Ziyad changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Wicliffe fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Wicliffe swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ziyad drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Ziyad misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Ziyad wants to control but Wicliffe is keeping him busy.

Ziyad wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Wicliffe, who protects the arm well.
Ziyad goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Wicliffe has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Ziyad but great work by Wicliffe.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ziyad tries to buck Wicliffe off but Wicliffe is having none of it.
Ziyad is not content to let Wicliffe control the position.
Ziyad is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Wicliffe off and has taken his back!
