Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mick Starna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fritz Lukens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Mick Starna has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Mick Starna seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Starna fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Lukens wants to land a leg kick but Starna is out of range.
Starna fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Lukens forces Starna back against the cage and clinches.
Lukens landing knees to the body.

Lukens tries to land knees in the clinch but Starna avoids the damage to the body.
Starna blocks an elbow strike from Lukens.

Lukens gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Starna.

Fritz Lukens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Starna on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Lukens connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Starna moves into range and clinches up with Lukens.
Lukens misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Starna.
Starna wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Starna turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Starna manages to end up in side control.
Starna just content to control the position.
Lukens is trying to improve his position.
Starna is looking to take a break and control but Lukens is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Starna decides to stand back up.
A nice leg kick lands there from Lukens.
Lukens closes the distance and clinches up with Starna, looking for a takedown. Lukens pushes Starna against the cage but Starna circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Starna stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Lukens.
Starna is breathing heavily.

Starna takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Starna scores with a takedown into Lukens's guard.
Starna stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lukens swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Lukens looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Lukens has control of Starna's left arm, preventing Starna from doing any damage.
Lukens not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Starna trying to control the position from guard on top but Lukens is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Starna would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Lukens misses with a double jab.
Lukens doesn't manage to clinch there - Starna circles away.
Starna feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Lukens's calf.
Starna bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Lukens tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Starna trying to control the action but Lukens is working from the bottom.

Starna is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Starna is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Lukens struggling a bit here.

Lukens manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Starna trying to control from Lukens's half guard. Lukens has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Starna fails with an attempt to clinch.
Lukens throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lukens misses with a wild body shot.
Lukens tries to bum rush Starna with a series of wild strikes but Starna uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Starna circles away from the clinch attempt
and Starna counters with a shoot takedown. Lukens fights it but they end up in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Starna looking to sit in guard and control but Lukens gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Lukens throwing strikes from guard but Starna blocks nicely.
Lukens wants to control from the top but Starna keeps moving.

You can see the frustration on Lukens's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Starna wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lukens keeps working.
Lukens is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Starna's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Starna! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Lukens has tapped! This one is allllll over!
