Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Paltiguera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hayato Saito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paltiguera comes to the cage accompanied by Careless Whisper. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ivan Paltiguera! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hayato Saito! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Shimada.

The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Saito is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Paltiguera. Saito misses with a body shot.
Paltiguera throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Paltiguera keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A nice combination there by Saito.
Saito stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Saito wants it to stay on the feet. Paltiguera walks into a jab. Paltiguera ducks right into an uppercut from Saito. Hayato Saito seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Saito ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Saito slips a jab and a cross from Paltiguera.
Saito looks to land a right hand but Paltiguera moved out of range. Saito throws a jab but it's blocked by Paltiguera. Paltiguera looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Saito is fending him off so far but Paltiguera persists. Nope, Saito circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ivan Paltiguera. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Saito thows a left - swing and a miss! Saito looks to land a right hand but Paltiguera moved out of range. Paltiguera throws a series of punches but Saito avoids them all with ease. Saito tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Paltiguera was well out of range. Poor timing from Saito. Saito's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Saito duly obliges. Paltiguera takes a swing at Saito's ribcage but misses. Hayato Saito is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Saito jabbing away but nothing is landing. Saito lands a right hook to the body.
Paltiguera throws a right and a left that both miss. Saito looks to land a combination. Paltiguera sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Saito throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Paltiguera sees it coming and avoids it easily.

"Ole!" shouts Saito as he jumps to the side. Paltiguera is breathing heavily. Paltiguera is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Saito. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Saito throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Saito lands a glancing blow to the side of Paltiguera's head. Saito on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Saito changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Saito dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Saito lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Paltiguera. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Saito with a jab.

Saito fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Nice sprawl there from Saito as Paltiguera shoots in. Saito scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Saito misses with a wild body shot. Saito throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Paltiguera slips a jab from Saito. Saito throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Saito digs a good hook to Paltiguera's body.
Saito misses with a straight left. Paltiguera tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Saito swivels and escapes. Saito scores with a jab. Paltiguera acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

and Paltiguera counters with a shoot takedown. Saito fights it but they end up in guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Saito looking to hit a scissor sweep but Paltiguera is one step ahead there. Saito is controlling Paltiguera's posture. Saito bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Paltiguera's guard. Saito lands a couple of decent looking shots. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Saito showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Let's hope that Saito has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hayato Saito dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Paltiguera avoids a punch combination nicely.
Saito throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Paltiguera counters with a series of strikes. Saito will be more careful next time no doubt. Paltiguera shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Saito sprawls well. Saito wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Paltiguera gets slowly back to his feet. Saito misses with a few strikes there.
Ivan Paltiguera is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Saito uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Paltiguera. Saito throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Paltiguera throws a series of punches but Saito avoids them all with ease. Paltiguera throws a chopping leg kick but Saito manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Saito scores with a nice strike. Saito misses with a jab to the body
and Paltiguera counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Saito!

Saito tries to lock up and control but Paltiguera gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Paltiguera throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Saito tries to buck Paltiguera off but Paltiguera takes his back! Saito surviving as best he can, preventing damage. Saito is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Saito is keeping busy.

You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Saito tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Saito tries to hold on but Paltiguera pushes him away. Saito is squirming around, avoiding Paltiguera's attempts to control the action. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Paltiguera avoids the attempt from Saito to control.
Paltiguera working for a submission but Saito is keeping him at bay. Saito is working to get back to half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Saito tries to reverse the position but Paltiguera maintains control. Paltiguera looking to control but Saito is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Paltiguera will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Saito gets back to half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Paltiguera thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Saito's head. Saito works his way to full guard. Good work. Saito pulls Paltiguera in close to prevent any damage. Saito keeping moving, preventing Paltiguera from controlling successfully. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Paltiguera drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Saito dives on top into guard. Paltiguera being controlled here, momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ivan Paltiguera dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Paltiguera is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Saito has taken the fight to the clinch.
Saito lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Paltiguera backwards. Paltiguera working hard to break the clinch. Saito lands a body shot in the clinch.
Paltiguera is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Saito pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Saito pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Saito throws a shot to the body.
Paltiguera misses with a double jab.
Saito throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Saito misses with a series of wild punches.

and Paltiguera counters with a nice uppercut. A looping hook to the body misses from Paltiguera. Saito does a little dance to reset his feet. Saito thuds a left hand into Paltiguera's body. Saito misses with a body shot.
Paltiguera staying out of range there. Saito waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Paltiguera. Saito is looking to clinch but Paltiguera is avoiding it.

Oh Paltiguera is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Paltiguera on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Paltiguera seems to have got his legs back now. Paltiguera walks into a jab. Saito misses with an uppercut. Paltiguera saw that one coming. Saito ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Paltiguera moves away. Paltiguera fails to land the takedown. Saito thuds a left hand into Paltiguera's body. Saito cracks Paltiguera with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Saito connects with a good right hand that stumbles Paltiguera. Paltiguera circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Danga de danga de dang - Saito scores with a four punch combination!

Paltiguera knows he should have avoided that one. Saito waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Paltiguera. Paltiguera throws a half hearted mid kick. Saito lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Saito scores with a hook to the body. Paltiguera takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Saito fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Nice defenses there by Paltiguera. Paltiguera looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Saito connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Paltiguera momentarily.

Saito connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Paltiguera's hands. Paltiguera displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Saito throws out the jab. Saito tries to bum rush Paltiguera with a series of wild strikes but Paltiguera uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Saito drops Paltiguera with a beautiful combination! Paltiguera stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Saito is looking for the KO! Paltiguera tries to move into range but Saito moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Paltiguera slips a jab from Saito. Paltiguera throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Saito's waist but Saito gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Paltiguera off to one side.
Saito instigates a clinch. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Saito lands a nice shot that snaps Paltiguera's head back.
Saito misses with the combination.
And that's the end of the fight! Hayato Saito comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Saito has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
