The bell rings for round one and we are underway! An inside leg kick lands from Laidlaw. Reis looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Laidlaw fails to land with a series of punches.
Reis gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Laidlaw is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Laidlaw stands up from Reis's guard - Laidlaw perhaps looking for a knockout. I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Laidlaw has cracked Reis with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Laidlaw lands another huge swinging hook and Reis tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Reis, before Laidlaw can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Kyle Laidlaw!
