Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marty Butterfingers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Peter Griffin!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin swings for the body but Butterfingers moves out of range.
Griffin scores with a jab.
Butterfingers fails with a takedown attempt.
Griffin throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Griffin turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Peter Griffin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Griffin scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Butterfingers shoots in looking for a takedown. Griffin tries to sprawl out of it but Butterfingers keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Griffin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Butterfingers shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marty Butterfingers. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Griffin leaves Butterfingers with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Butterfingers drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Griffin gets through Butterfingers's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Griffin lands a left hand.
Griffin lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Butterfingers backwards.
A short uppercut from Griffin.
Butterfingers fails to pull guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Butterfingers jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Griffin walks away with a smile on his face. Butterfingers gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Griffin stuffs the takedown.
Griffin comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Butterfingers is breathing heavily.
Griffin jabs at Butterfingers's body.
Nice shot by Griffin.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Griffin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Butterfingers doesn't manage to clinch there - Griffin circles away.
Griffin drops Butterfingers with a beautiful combination! Butterfingers stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Griffin is looking for the KO!
Butterfingers is rocked!
It looks like Marty Butterfingers has been cut.
Are you kidding me?! Griffin ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Butterfingers clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
