Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vlad Tepes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Holger Koppe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koppe has chosen Three 6 Mafia - It's a Fight as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Holger Koppe is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vlad Tepes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Holger Koppe! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tepes fails with a takedown attempt. The fighters circling - Tepes throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Koppe shoots in and bounces Tepes off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Tepes wants to stand but Koppe is controlling the position. Koppe trying to control but Tepes is working from the bottom. Tepes lands a good elbow from the bottom. Koppe passes Tepes's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Tepes is trying to get back to full guard. Koppe is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Tepes doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Koppe. Koppe works his foot free and advances to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Koppe goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Tepes is on top in guard.
Tepes is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Koppe is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Koppe has escaped and now he's on top! Koppe trying to control the position from guard on top but Tepes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tepes looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Tepes is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Koppe is not content to let Tepes control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Koppe is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Koppe trying to control here.
Koppe actively working from the bottom here. Koppe looks gassed! Tepes stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Koppe to get to his feet. Koppe moves into range and clinches up with Tepes. Koppe has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Tepes avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Tepes is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Koppe pulls him back up using the underhooks. Tepes tightens his grip and picks Koppe up, before dumping him to the ground. Koppe manages to land in guard. Koppe wants to sweep but no luck. Koppe has momentary wrist control but Tepes slips an elbow through the middle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tepes postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Koppe is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Tepes, into his guard. Koppe is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Tepes is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Tepes has escaped and now he's on top! Koppe working a defensive guard here.
Koppe wants to sweep here but Tepes controlling him for the moment. Tepes passes easily into side control. Nice work. Koppe tries to buck Tepes off but Tepes is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tepes trying to control the position but Koppe is working away. Koppe tries to improve position but can't. Tepes lands some shots froms side control. Tepes lands a few punches from side control. Koppe takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Tepes grinds an elbow into Koppe's temple. Check out the look on Tepes's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Tepes tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Tepes is putting a hurting on Koppe here, landing some big shots from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Vlad Tepes dominated that round. That's time! Tepes's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Tepes clobbers Koppe with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Tepes misses with a straight left. Koppe bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Tepes is looking for a sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tepes struggling a bit here. Tepes is looking to reverse the position. Koppe controls the position. Koppe is trying to get an arm triangle but Tepes is defending well. Tepes tries to bench press Koppe off him but Koppe keeps the position. Koppe is putting a hurting on Tepes here, landing some big shots from side control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Koppe stands up. A cross from Tepes lands. Tepes swats away the attempt to clinch by Koppe. Tepes tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Koppe paws at him with a jab and circles away. Tepes is looking to score with low kicks. Tepes fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Koppe shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Tepes defends it nicely. Koppe fails with the takedown and Tepes connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Tepes uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Holger Koppe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tepes scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Koppe with a lazy takedown attempt and Tepes counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Vlad Tepes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Holger Koppe. Koppe keeping moving, preventing Tepes from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tepes slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tepes wanted to stand there but Koppe had control of the position. Tepes has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Tepes drops back, looking for a kneebar! Koppe looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Koppe looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Koppe! Tepes is trying to improve his position. Koppe wants to control but Tepes is keeping him busy. Koppe is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Tepes is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Tepes is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Tepes wants to sweep here but Koppe controlling him for the moment. Tepes trying to keep a closed guard but Koppe is proving a slippery customer.
Koppe is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Koppe throws a big right hand that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Koppe pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tepes is keeping the position for now.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Koppe takes one to the side of the head.
Koppe takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Koppe has his takedown stuffed and Tepes counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Tepes. Koppe looking to control.
Tepes postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Koppe working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Tepes. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Koppe is trying to keep Tepes in close.
Tepes is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Vlad Tepes dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Koppe shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tepes pinned against the cage. Tepes gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Koppe fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Tepes avoids it really well and circles away. Koppe on the wrong end of a nice jab. Tepes drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Koppe not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Koppe is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Tepes stands and steps away. Koppe gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Koppe takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Tepes decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Tepes wants to work for an arm triangle but Koppe is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Koppe has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tepes is working away from the top position though. Koppe is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Tepes pulls his head out easily. Koppe is looking to control Tepes's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Koppe avoid being mounted? Koppe punching from the bottom.

Tepes wants to control for a moment but Koppe uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Koppe is refusing to be controlled, as Tepes sits in half guard. Tepes is thwarting Koppe's attempts to control the position. Koppe is looking to improve his position.

And that's the end of the fight! Vlad Tepes showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Tepes, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
