Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Douglas Quaid!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Nathan James!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Sam Margolis and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from James.
Quaid lands with a nice body punch.
Quaid circles away from the clinch attempt.
A slow jab from Quaid misses its intended target.
Quaid just misses with a punch to the body.
Donk. Quaid catches James right on the button with a cross.
James tries to clinch up.
Quaid swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Quaid misses with a wild body shot.

James has taken the fight to the clinch.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Come on Quaid - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

That's one minute gone in the round.
James tries to break free but Quaid pushes him back against the cage.
James changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Quaid fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Quaid throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Quaid throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Quaid thows a body shot but no joy.
James doesn't manage to clinch there - Quaid circles away.
Quaid bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of James's head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Quaid shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
James trying to hold on to Quaid's head to control him but Quaid postures up.
Quaid lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
James avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Quaid.
Quaid is trying to control the action in half guard but James is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Quaid throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Quaid is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Quaid has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Quaid lands a nice short elbow.


James is rocked!
Quaid lands a big elbow - James is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Quaid!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Douglas Quaid!
