Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dirt Mcguirt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Rosenburger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adam Rosenburger is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dirt Mcguirt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adam Rosenburger!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcguirt shoots in but Rosenburger avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Rosenburger not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
I looks like Rosenburger might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Mcguirt is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Rosenburger passes into half guard.
Rosenburger performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Let's hope that Rosenburger has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Mcguirt wants to control but Rosenburger is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rosenburger working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Rosenburger shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Rosenburger sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mcguirt's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Despite being in the dominant position, Adam Rosenburger just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mcguirt is looking to clinch.

and Rosenburger counters with a single leg into guard. Mcguirt didn't expect that.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rosenburger passes Mcguirt's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Rosenburger lands a big shot there that rocks Mcguirt but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Mcguirt throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
Rosenburger controlling from mount.
Mcguirt is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Mcguirt wants to hold on but Rosenburger pushes him away.
Rosenburger sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
BOOM! Rosenburger connects with a massive shot to the dome!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Adam Rosenburger showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Rosenburger's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Rosenburger postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Mcguirt wants to get back to his feet but Rosenburger is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mcguirt is on top in guard.

Rosenburger uses the cage to get back to his feet.

and Rosenburger decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mcguirt's guard.

Rosenburger is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Rosenburger in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Adam Rosenburger comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Rosenburger has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
