Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kutaro Hasegawa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Okaohose Monuwe! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Monuwe looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Hasegawa lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Hasegawa is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Excellent takedown into side control there by Monuwe. Monuwe is trying to get an arm triangle but Hasegawa is defending well. Monuwe thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Monuwe has his foot on Hasegawa's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hasegawa works his way back into a safe position though. Hasegawa trying to stand up but can't free himself from Monuwe's guard.

Hasegawa doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hasegawa manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Monuwe throws his legs up looking for a submission but Hasegawa uses it to pass to side control.

Okaohose Monuwe dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

He has the arm isolated but Hasegawa is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Monuwe is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hasegawa has escaped the position, nice work there. Hasegawa regains half guard. Monuwe is working for a kimura here but Hasegawa manages to reverse the position and he's now in Monuwe's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Monuwe had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hasegawa defends it easily. Hasegawa has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Hasegawa tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Hasegawa will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hasegawa throws a nice looking combination but Monuwe bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Monuwe shoots and misses and Hasegawa counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Monuwe! Monuwe is trying to escape the mount.
Monuwe is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Hasegawa knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Monuwe on the ground. Hasegawa stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Kutaro Hasegawa will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
