Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Achilles Anvil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Ruas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruas has chosen Megadeth - Symphony of Destruction as his entrance music. Achilles Anvil could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Marco Ruas's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Achilles Anvil! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marco Ruas! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ruas throws a right and a left that Anvil avoids nicely. Anvil throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Ruas counters with a nice double leg into side control. Anvil won't be happy with that. Anvil wants to control but Ruas postures up. Ruas lands a few punches from side control. Anvil knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ruas on the ground. Ruas looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Anvil regains half guard, as Ruas was trying to land strikes. Ruas wants to free his trapped foot but Anvil is holding on for dear life with his legs. Anvil is not content to let Ruas control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruas sitting and controlling from the half guard. Ruas stops Anvil from getting back to his feet.
Ruas is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Poor strikes thrown by Ruas there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Anvil bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Anvil trying to control the position from guard on top but Ruas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ruas manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Anvil is bucking up trying to escape but Ruas cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ruas throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Ruas trying to control but Anvil is having none of it. Ruas moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Anvil has worked his arm free - good work by Anvil!
Ruas tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ruas has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Anvil is trying to buck Ruas off. Ruas tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ruas has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Anvil taking punishment in the form of punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marco Ruas dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Anvil swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ruas blocks a jab. Ruas looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Anvil fails to land with a series of punches.
Ruas thows a body shot but no joy. Anvil throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Nice shot by Anvil. A looping hook to the body misses from Anvil. Ruas does a little dance to reset his feet. Anvil misses with an uppercut. Ruas saw that one coming. Anvil throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ruas misses with a takedown attempt - Anvil sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Ruas closes the distance and clinches up with Anvil, looking for a takedown. Ruas pushes Anvil against the cage but Anvil circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Achilles Anvil has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marco Ruas. A shot to the body from Anvil misses and Ruas counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Anvil throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Ruas counters with a single leg into guard. Anvil didn't expect that.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruas in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Ruas being controlled here momentarily. Ruas trying to control but Anvil is working from the bottom. Ruas is looking to work some ground and pound but Anvil has wrist control. Ruas trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Anvil wants to stand but Ruas is controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Ruas postures up in Anvil's guard and throws a big left but Anvil blocks it. Ruas wants to control from the top but Anvil keeps moving.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Ruas misses with a body shot.

Anvil is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ruas. Anvil throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ruas sees it coming and avoids it easily. Anvil slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Ruas swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Anvil throws a hook but Ruas blocks it. Ruas takes a swing at Anvil's ribcage but misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anvil misses with a jab, cross combination.
Anvil takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Anvil falls off balance throwing a combination
and Ruas counters with a series of strikes. Anvil will be more careful next time no doubt. Achilles Anvil is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ruas avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Anvil swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Anvil misses with a jab to the body
and Ruas counters with a takedown into side control. Anvil dodges the ground and pound from Ruas. Ruas has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. The ground and pound from Ruas seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Ruas with the ground and pound but Anvil regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Ruas thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Anvil to regain full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ruas looking to sit in guard and control but Anvil gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Anvil won't allow Ruas to sweep him here. Ruas throws his legs up looking for a submission but Anvil uses it to pass to side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marco Ruas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Ruas throws a right hand that Anvil ducks under and follows up with a left that Anvil also avoids with ease. Anvil misses with a head kick.

and Ruas counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Anvil ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ruas moves away. Anvil bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Ruas waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Anvil. Ruas takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Ruas is rocked! Are you kidding me?! Anvil ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Ruas clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
