Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Benny Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ralapeno Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Benny Allen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Benny Allen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ralapeno Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Leandro Rodrigues and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Allen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Gracie looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Allen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Allen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Gracie had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Allen defends it easily.
Allen has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Allen drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Allen jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Gracie is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Allen is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Gracie is surviving well by controlling Allen's body position as best he can.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Allen closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Allen wants to take a breather but Gracie is having none of it.
Gracie is pressing down on Allen's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Allen is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Gracie is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Gracie has escaped and now he's on top!

Gracie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Gracie pushes down on Allen's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Allen is looking to improve his position.

Gracie looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Gracie wants to control but Allen is keeping him busy.

Allen is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gracie pulls his head out easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Gracie tries to pass to full mount but Allen defends it.
Allen is not content to let Gracie control the position.
Gracie might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Allen kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Gracie tries a low kick but Allen avoids it.

and Allen counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Gracie can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Allen controls the pace.
