Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hannibal Lecter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lecter moves into range and clinches up with Emelianenko.
Lecter goes for a takedown in the clinch but Emelianenko prevents it.

Lecter drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Emelianenko gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Lecter closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Lecter bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Emelianenko's guard.

Emelianenko has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Lecter is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Emelianenko.

Emelianenko isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Lecter stacks Emelianenko on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Lecter!
