Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Xv Jobber vX (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brett James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brett James acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 32 - 0, fighting out of London, Xv Jobber vX! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Brett James! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Andrew Berry and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James throws a right and a left that Jobber vX avoids nicely. James lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jobber vX circles away quickly and effectively. James displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jobber vX. James closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jobber vX to the mat! Jobber vX manages to get full guard. James slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. James slips nicely into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jobber vX avoiding damage under a succession of punches from James. Well, if James is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Jobber vX wants to control but James is keeping busy and won't allow it. James not doing much here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jobber vX is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. James is figuring out what he wants to do next. James postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Jobber vX to stand up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Jobber vX gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows James to score an easy takedown into full guard. James pushing down on Jobber vX's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Jobber vX trying to control but James postures up.
James decides to return to a standing position. Jobber vX really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. James clinches. James manages to pull guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. James is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. James looks gassed! James takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Jobber vX is trying to defend against the ground and pound but James scores with a couple of nice shots. James decides to stand and escape the position. James has Jobber vX up against the cage in a clinch.
Jobber vX is working for takedown but James is calmly controlling the position for now. Nice body punch from James. James lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. James breaks the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. James rushes Jobber vX and presses him up against the cage. James's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Jobber vX tries for a takedown but James circles away easily and James counters by moving into the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Xv Jobber vX. That's going to take a lot out of him. James displaying some good clinch control by pressing Jobber vX up against the cage. James escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
James lands a big uppercut and Jobber vX crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Jobber vX looks OK. James waves Jobber vX back to his feet!
Jobber vX is rocked! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. James is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jobber vX's half guard. Oh Jobber vX is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brett James dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
James is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jobber vX's half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. James connects with a nice short shot to Jobber vX's temple. James looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Brett James has got the better of the ground game so far. James stands up out of the half guard. Jobber vX seems to have got his legs back now. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jobber vX throws out a leg kick but James moves out of range and Jobber vX only half commits. Xv Jobber vX is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's one minute gone in the round. James clinches with his opponent.
James pressing his opponent against the cage. James has hold of one of Jobber vX's legs. Jobber vX is fighting the takedown attempt but James gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. James lands a couple of decent looking shots. James scoring with punches to the head and body. James landing with the ground and pound. Jobber vX knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for James on the ground. James keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Jobber vX's head. James not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. James stands and steps away. Jobber vX gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. James feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. James postures up and lands a big shot to Jobber vX's brow. James pushing down on Jobber vX's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Jobber vX wants to get back to full guard. Jobber vX wants to sweep but James has passed to side control! James has control of an arm but Jobber vX manages to advance to James's back! James tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
That's three minutes gone in the round. James holds on to Jobber vX around his waist, trying desperately to prevent any attacks. James sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. James makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! James looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Jobber vX looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. James keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Let's hope that James has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. James works his way into side control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. James decides to take the fight back to the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brett James showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
James thumps Jobber vX with a low kick. James lands a high kick!
James lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. James closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
James's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. James has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Both fighters are breathing heavily. James decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
That's one minute gone in the round. James stuns Jobber vX with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. James feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Jobber vX's calf. James drives through with a takedown into guard. Jobber vX is trying to control the position from the bottom.
James looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Jobber vX wants to sweep here but James controlling him for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. James stands up and waves to Jobber vX to follow him. James shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Jobber vX is trying to defend but James finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. James decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. James feints and as Jobber vX raises his hands in defense, James changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. James drops back looking for a leg! Jobber vX is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jobber vX manages to kick James off! James jumps back into Jobber vX's guard. James passes Jobber vX's left leg - he's now in half guard. Xv Jobber vX has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! James content to control rather than advance. James passes to full mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. James landing strikes, looking to finish! Jobber vX is bucking up trying to escape but James cracks him with another couple of good strikes. James working the ground and pound effectively.
James sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The referee warns Jobber vX that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
And that's the end of the fight! Brett James comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well James has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
