Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luth Golein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Horiato Hayato!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Golein shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Golein showed some decent athleticism there.
Hayato pushes Golein off looking to stand but Golein dives back in and keeps control.

Golein wants to work for an arm triangle but Hayato is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Golein is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Hayato gets back to full guard.

Golein drops back, looking for a kneebar! Hayato looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Hayato looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Hayato!

Hayato stands up and beckons Golein to his feet.

Hayato misses with an uppercut.
Hayato throws a head kick but Golein moves out of range.
Some wild striking there from Golein.

and Golein counters by moving into the clinch.
Golein drops down looking for an ankle pick but Hayato pulls his leg out and moves away.
Hayato misses with a takedown attempt - Golein sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Hayato is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Golein's half guard.
Golein really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Hayato is trying to work for a kimura but Golein is defending well.

Hayato decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Golein is breathing heavily.
Hayato throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.


It looks like Luth Golein has been cut.

Hayato shoots in and bounces Golein off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Hayato distracts Golein with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Hayato content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Golein is working an open guard so Hayato takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Hayato shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Golein pinned against the cage. Golein gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Luth Golein has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Horiato Hayato.

Hayato breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Golein takes one on the chin but seems OK.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Hayato postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Hayato throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Golein was covering up waiting for the punch and Hayato finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Hayato drops back looking for a leg! Golein is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Golein manages to kick Hayato off! Hayato jumps back into Golein's guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hayato working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Golein has momentary wrist control but Hayato slips an elbow through the middle.
Hayato pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Golein is keeping the position for now.
Hayato postures up in Golein's guard and throws a big left but Golein blocks it.
Hayato lands a couple of elbows.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hayato passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Hayato lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Hayato tries to advance to mount but Golein denies him.
Golein on the wrong end of some ground and pound.

Hayato decides to stand up, so the ref orders Golein to his feet.

Hayato shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Hayato stands up and beckons Golein to join him on the feet.

Hayato closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Golein did well to prevent Hayato getting side control.

Hayato misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Golein gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hayato to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hayato stands up and waves to Golein to follow him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Horiato Hayato showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Hayato closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Golein to the mat! Golein manages to get full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Hayato wants to control from the top but Golein keeps moving.

Golein is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Hayato lands a couple of digs.
Hayato with a nice head shot there.
Hayato is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Hayato really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Golein. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Hayato postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Hayato distracts Golein with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Hayato looking to sit in guard and control but Golein gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Hayato lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Golein!

Hayato is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Golein can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Luth Golein has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Horiato Hayato is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
