Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sherman Tank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronnie Wasson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sherman Tank! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ronnie Wasson! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tank swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Tank clinches. Wasson wants to break free but Tank has control.
Wasson using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Tank has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Wasson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Tank smiles and moves away.
Tank looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Tank wants to work for an arm triangle but Wasson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Tank decides to return to a standing position. Tank feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Tank trying to control but Wasson is working from the bottom. Tank slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Tank decides to stand back up. Tank steps back and let's Wasson get back to his feet. Wasson looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round. Tank throws a sloppy head kick and Wasson moves out of range easily. Wasson forces Tank back against the cage and clinches. Wasson is looking to break free of the clinch but Tank has double underhooks. Tank wants to stall.

Wasson swats away the attempt to clinch by Tank. Wasson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Tank rushes Wasson and presses him up against the cage. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Tank throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Wasson blocks it with crossed arms. Tank tries a knee to the head but Wasson blocks it.
Tank has Wasson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Wasson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Wasson is stalling here.
Wasson misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Tank.
Tank unloads a knee to the mid-section. Wasson lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Wasson drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Wasson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Tank just stands there and leans against the cage. Sherman Tank has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ronnie Wasson. Tank tries to land a knee to the head but Wasson blocks with his arms.
Tank lands a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wasson has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Tank off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Tank shoots in but no luck this time. Wasson tries to clinch up but Tank circles away and keeps his distance. Wasson closes the distance looking to clinch and Tank counters with a big head kick but Wasson shrugs it off. Wasson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Tank counters with a single leg into guard. Wasson didn't expect that.
Wasson is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tank decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Wasson is still on wobbly legs! Can Tank finish him? Tank takes the fight into the clinch. Tank lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Wasson to his knees! Tank keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sherman Tank!
