Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marshall Fox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Corey Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Marshall Fox! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Corey Alves! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fox throws the kick towards the body but Alves avoids it. Alves misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Alves looks to land a combination but Fox avoids it well. Fox tries to clinch up. Fox tries to score a power double leg takedown but Alves sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fox somewhat. Alves circles away from the clinch attempt.
Fox shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Alves manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Fox wanted to stand there but Alves had control of the position. Fox stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Alves swivels though and keeps the full guard. Fox's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fox advances position into side control! Fox is looking to take a break and control but Alves is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Alves can't do much from the bottom here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Alves is trying to improve his position. Alves is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Fox tries to move into full mount but can't pass Alves's legs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The ground and pound from Fox seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Fox happy to just control the position for now. Alves really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fox. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Fox drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Fox goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Alves has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Fox but great work by Alves. Alves cracks Fox with an elbow. That is naaassty. Alves working the head with strikes. Fox is looking for a sweep. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Fox sneaks back into half guard. Alves thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Alves looks gassed! Alves throws a strike but Fox manages to get a kimura sweep and he's found himself on top with the kimura half locked in! This would be a real turnaround! He's torquing it... Will Alves tap??? YES! He's tapped! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Marshall Fox!
