The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chavez tries to land a leg kick but Norman saw it coming and moves away.
No joy there for Chavez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Norman looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Norman wants to control from the top but Chavez keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chavez looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Chavez keeping moving, preventing Norman from controlling successfully.
Chavez is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Chavez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Norman trying to control the position from guard on top but Chavez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
