Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rasheed Tyree! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bronson Fields! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Eddie Farnsworth and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tyree changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Fields looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Fields trying his best to control but Tyree has mounted him. Tyree lands a nice shot to the head. Tyree has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Fields's face.
Fields is squirming around, avoiding Tyree's attempts to control the action. Tyree blocks Fields's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Tyree looking to finish Fields with some ground and pound. This is bad for Fields! Fields is desperately trying to improve his position but Tyree has a good base and remains in mount. Tyree with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Tyree swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Fields is now in Tyree's guard. A big mistake from Tyree there, giving up the dominant position!
That's one minute gone in the round. Tyree is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Fields preventing the sweep. Tyree is working an open guard so Fields takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Fields tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. No luck for Fields with that takedown attempt. Fields misses with a jab, cross combination.
Fields throws a nice looking combination but Tyree bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Fields looks gassed! Tyree fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Tyree looks to land a combination but Fields avoids it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Tyree circles away from the clinch attempt.
Tyree looks to clinch and Fields counters with a nice double leg into guard. Fields stopping the sweep attempt from Tyree. Fields thows a big elbow that misses. Fields stopping the sweep attempt from Tyree. Tyree had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Fields defends it easily. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fields accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Fields gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tyree shoots in and drives through. Fields sprawls well. Fields lands with a cross. Fields throws a body kick that misses. Tyree shoots in but Fields avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rasheed Tyree. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fields tries for a takedown but Tyree circles away easily and Tyree counters with a shoot takedown. Fields fights it but they end up in guard. Tyree is working Fields over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Tyree wants to get up but he can't break Fields's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Fields wants to improve his position but instead Tyree has moved into half guard.
Tyree stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tyree doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Fields is looking to clinch. Tyree shoots in and drives through. Fields sprawls well. Fields throws a sloppy head kick and Tyree moves out of range easily. Fields fails to land with a series of punches.
Tyree wants to clinch. Tyree feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Fields is on top in guard.
Tyree had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Fields defends it easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rasheed Tyree dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Tyree counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Tyree moves nicely into side control. Tyree tries to advance to mount but can't. Tyree working the head with strikes. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tyree lands a few punches from side control. Tyree cracks Fields with a big right hand but Fields just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Tyree wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Fields, who protects the arm well. Fields is looking to reverse the position. Tyree landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Tyree wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fields keeps working. That's two minutes gone in the round. Tyree creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Tyree decides to stand back up. Tyree fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Fields throws a sloppy head kick and Tyree moves out of range easily. Fields closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Fields is looking to take a break and control but Tyree is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Fields decides to stand up, so the ref orders Tyree to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fields darts in trying to clinch and Tyree counters with a takedown into side control. Tyree wants to control but Fields is keeping him busy. Tyree is chipping away with strikes.
Fields is trying to control Tyree's posture but Tyree avoids it. Fields gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tyree prevents Fields from getting the reversal. Tyree scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Tyree is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Fields can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Rasheed Tyree dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Tyree wants to take a breather but Fields is having none of it. Fields taking some punishment here, with Tyree in his half guard. Tyree trying to control the action but Fields is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tyree stands up and beckons Fields to join him on the feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fields slaps away a takedown attempt from Tyree, before circling back to the center of the mat. Bronson Fields seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tyree lands a jab to the head.
Fields throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Tyree. Fields tries to bum rush Tyree with a series of wild strikes but Tyree uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Tyree is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Fields. Fields uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Tyree. Rasheed Tyree is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Fields stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fields wants it to stay on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rasheed Tyree. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fields throws a sloppy head kick and Tyree moves out of range easily. Fields tries to score with a low kick but Tyree moves his leg out of the way. Fields slaps away a takedown attempt from Tyree, before circling back to the center of the mat. Fields fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Tyree, pushing him back against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Tyree wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Fields drops down looking for an ankle pick but Tyree pulls his leg out and moves away.
Fields cracks Tyree with an open hand slap. Tyree shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Fields as he avoids it easily. Tyree throws a leg kick but Fields sees it coming and moves out of range. Fields takes the fight into the clinch. Tyree blocks an uppercut.
Fields has Tyree pushed against the cage. Fields gets underhooks to prevent Tyree's takedown attempt.
Fields has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Tyree avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Tyree is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Fields can't fight it off and eventually Tyree manages to take the fight to the floor. Fields looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fields working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Tyree. Tyree trying to control the position from guard on top but Fields is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tyree drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Fields dives on top into guard. Fields throwing strikes but missing. Fields wants to control from the top but Tyree keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Tyree is pulling down on Fields's head. It's preventing any offense from Fields, at least for the moment. Tyree avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Tyree trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Fields stops Tyree from standing up. Tyree not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Tyree wants to sweep but no luck.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. No luck for Tyree with that takedown attempt. Fields looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Bronson Fields has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Rasheed Tyree is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Fields throws and low kick but Tyree moves out of range easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Rasheed Tyree showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Tyree, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
