Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Benjamin Liu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yanuki Masato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Benjamin Liu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yanuki Masato!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shirou Masuda and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liu looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Masato wants to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Masato is trying to maintain the position but Liu is very close to passing his half guard.
Liu content to control rather than advance.
Masato is trying to stand.
Liu perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Masato looks like he's trying to stand up.
Masato is looking to improve his position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Liu has Masato up against the cage in a clinch.
Masato tries for a takedown but Liu manages to get underhooks.

Liu prevents Masato from breaking the clinch.
Masato wants to break free but Liu has control.
Liu manages to pull guard.
Liu pulls Masato in close to prevent any damage.
Liu had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Masato is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Liu Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Masato's back instead.
Masato is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Liu looking to break Masato's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Masato remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Liu will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Masato tries to escape but Liu has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Masato breaks Liu's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Liu is breathing heavily.
Liu keeping moving, preventing Masato from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Liu keeping full guard, as Masato tries to pass.
Liu bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Masato's guard.

Liu gets to his feet. Masato looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Liu circles away from the clinch attempt
and Liu moves into the clinch.
Masato misses with a punch on the inside.
Masato tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Masato tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Liu just stands there and leans against the cage.
Liu tries for a takedown but Masato manages to get underhooks.
Liu tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Liu has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Masato avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Benjamin Liu. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Masato is looking to break free of the clinch but Liu has double underhooks.
Liu escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Masato misses with a looping right.
Masato shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Liu counters by clinching up.
Liu works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Liu pushing down on Masato's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Masato is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Masato is trying to control but Liu manages to pass to mount!

Liu has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Masato tries to hold on but Liu postures up.
Liu takes Masato's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Masato is in trouble.
Liu really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Masato.
Masato is trying to stand back up.
Masato has hold of Liu's leg, trying to break free but it's let Liu lock up a rear naked choke! This could be big trouble! Masato is turning an unusual color here… he's out! Liu throws him to one side and jumps onto the cage to celebrate with his fans.
