Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Owen Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and PJ Stalker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Owen Brooks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, PJ Stalker! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brooks shoots in and drives through. Stalker sprawls well. Brooks forces Stalker back against the cage and clinches. Stalker pulls guard successfully.
Stalker should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Brooks avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Brooks won't allow Stalker to sweep him here. Brooks keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Stalker's head. Stalker looking to hit a scissor sweep but Brooks is one step ahead there. Stalker is trying to control the position but Brooks postures up. Brooks wants to stand but Stalker has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Brooks controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stalker working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Brooks doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Brooks manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Stalker controls Brooks momentarily but Brooks frees himself. Brooks drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Brooks jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Stalker is looking to sweep but instead, Brooks has passed into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Brooks trying to control the action but Stalker is working from the bottom. Stalker moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Brooks has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Stalker bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Brooks's guard. Stalker wants to control from the top but Brooks keeps moving. Brooks not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Brooks is breathing heavily. Brooks wants to get back to his feet but Stalker is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Stalker controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Brooks wants to hit a switch here but Stalker passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Brooks there!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stalker avoids the attempt from Brooks to control. Brooks is working to get back to half guard.
Stalker is standing up, even though he is in mount. Stalker with a lazy takedown attempt and Brooks counters with a head kick. That will keep Stalker thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Brooks circles away from the clinch attempt.
Stalker tries to clinch up but Brooks circles away and keeps his distance. Stalker is looking to clinch but Brooks is avoiding it.
Brooks tries to clinch but Stalker is having none of it. Brooks closes the distance and clinches up with Stalker, looking for a takedown. Brooks pushes Stalker against the cage but Stalker circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Stalker wants to clinch and Brooks counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brooks slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Stalker has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Brooks can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stalker looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Brooks is looking to stand up but Stalker won't let him. Brooks pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Stalker is keeping the position for now. Stalker wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Brooks trying to control but Stalker is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Owen Brooks will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Brooks darts in and clinches Stalker up against the cage. Stalker wants to stall.
Stalker lands with a right to the head. Brooks managing to block the knees to the body from Stalker.
Stalker throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Stalker pulls guard. Brooks tries to free his leg and advance position but Stalker is retaining full guard. Brooks drops back looking for a leg! Stalker is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Stalker manages to kick Brooks off! Brooks jumps back into Stalker's guard. Brooks stands up from guard. Let's bang! Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Stalker, as that shot connected.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brooks tries for a takedown but Stalker sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Brooks circles away from the clinch attempt and Brooks counters with a nice double leg into guard. Stalker working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Brooks can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Brooks knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stalker on the ground. Brooks gets to his feet - Stalker follows without any prompting. Brooks gets a clinch. Brooks on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Brooks jumps guard but Stalker stands there with Brooks around his waist. Brooks gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Brooks tries to score a body lock takedown but Stalker shows good agility there to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Owen Brooks. That's going to take a lot out of him. Brooks gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Brooks trying to control the position from guard on top but Stalker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Brooks scoring with punches to the head and body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brooks wanted to stand there but Stalker had control of the position. Stalker utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Stalker tries to land a sweep but no joy. Stalker is trying to keep Brooks in close.

That was a close second round but I would say that Owen Brooks will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Owen Brooks overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Stalker is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Brooks wants to control from the top but Stalker keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Stalker lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Brooks! Stalker content just to control the position here. Brooks is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Stalker has taken his back! Stalker looking for the RNC.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stalker avoiding Brooks 's attempts to control his hands. PJ Stalker has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Stalker looking for the choke but no joy. Will Stalker go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Stalker gets his hands free as Brooks looks to control. Stalker is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
