Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rhett Hart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Coen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dan Coen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rhett Hart! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dan Coen! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Chad Campbell and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Coen lands a nice shot that snaps Hart's head back.
Hart swings for the body but Coen moves out of range.
Rhett Hart seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hart swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hart misses with a two punch combination.
Coen shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hart's guard. Hart is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hart trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Coen throws a big right hand that misses. Coen won't allow Hart to sweep him here. Hart bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Coen's guard. Coen thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Hart is looking to work some ground and pound but Coen has wrist control. Hart won't allow Coen to sweep him here. Hart postures up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hart throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Coen drives through and clinches with Hart against the cage.

Hart throws a body punch but Coen moves out of range. Hart throws a series of punches but Coen avoids them all with ease. Hart throws a nice looking combination but Coen bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Hart is breathing heavily. Hart throws a right hand that Coen ducks under and follows up with a left that Coen also avoids with ease. Coen gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Knees to the body from Coen.
Coen is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Hart can't fight it off and eventually Coen manages to take the fight to the floor. Hart looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Hart manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Coen manages to get himself to full guard.

Hart trying to control the position from guard on top but Coen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hart might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Coen had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hart defends it easily.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Hart changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Coen tries to avoid it but Hart manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Coen to the ground. Coen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Coen keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hart thows a body shot but no joy. Hart darts in trying to clinch and Coen counters by clinching up. Hart wants a takedown but no success here.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Hart throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Coen counters with a lovely straight right hand! Hart is looking to wear down Coen with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Hart misses with a wild body shot. Coen shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hart manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Coen preventing the sweep. Coen sitting in guard, not really doing much. Coen preventing the sweep. Coen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Coen wants to control from the top but Hart keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dan Coen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Hart's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Coen wants to control the pace but Hart is squirming around nicely. Coen has control of Hart's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hart regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Hart gets back to half guard. Hart is staying active underneath Coen, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Coen scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Hart is looking to escape. Coen is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

and Coen connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. A shot to the body from Hart misses and Coen counters with a shoot takedown. Hart fights it but they end up in guard. Hart will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Hart drops an elbow to the side of Coen's head. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hart connects with a nice short shot to Coen's temple. Dan Coen has got the better of the ground game so far. Hart thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Hart is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Coen! Coen blocking the ground and pound. Hart working the ground and pound effectively.
Hart misses with a head shot. Hart moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Coen has worked his arm free - good work by Coen!
Coen is looking to regain half guard here but Hart keeps moving and retains side control.
And that's the end of the fight! Dan Coen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Coen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
