Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Apachai Hopachai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Vorhees (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Apachai Hopachai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jason Vorhees!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Columbo Gatti and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hopachai has Vorhees up against the cage in a clinch.
Hopachai blocks a body shot from Vorhees.
Hopachai gets underhooks to prevent Vorhees's takedown attempt.
Hopachai comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Vorhees is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Vorhees drops down looking for an ankle pick but Hopachai pulls his leg out and moves away.
Apachai Hopachai has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Vorhees.
Vorhees closes the distance looking to clinch
and Hopachai counters with a slapping leg kick.

Vorhees moves into range and clinches up with Hopachai.
Hopachai lands an elbow inside.
Knees in the clinch landing for Hopachai.
Hopachai with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Hopachai connects with a knee to the head.
Vorhees wants a takedown but no success here.
Hopachai lands a damaging elbow.

Vorhees gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Hopachai regains guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Hopachai keeping full guard, as Vorhees tries to pass.
Hopachai on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hopachai tries to get out of the position.
Hopachai keeping moving, preventing Vorhees from controlling successfully.

Vorhees is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Vorhees looks gassed!
Hopachai wants to stand but Vorhees is controlling the position.
Vorhees trying to control but Hopachai is working from the bottom.
Hopachai knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vorhees on the ground.
Vorhees trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Hopachai misses with a body kick.
Vorhees fails with the takedown
and Hopachai counters with a thumping low kick.
Hopachai looks to clinch

and Vorhees counters with a shoot takedown. Hopachai fights it but they end up in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hopachai can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Vorhees controls the pace.
Vorhees pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hopachai is keeping the position for now.

Vorhees thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Hopachai has Vorhees pulled in close to control his posture.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hopachai's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Vorhees drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Vorhees jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Vorhees slips nicely into half guard.

Vorhees is working for a submission of some sort.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Vorhees prevents Hopachai from improving his position.

Hopachai is defending against the submission attempts here by Vorhees.

Vorhees looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Vorhees is looking for a kimura but Hopachai is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Vorhees to get the leverage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jason Vorhees dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Hopachai looks to clinch

and Vorhees counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Hopachai wants to stand and escape but Vorhees is having none of it.
Hopachai being controlled here, momentarily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hopachai keeping moving, preventing Vorhees from controlling successfully.
Vorhees is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Hopachai wants to clinch

so Vorhees counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Vorhees drops back looking for a leg! Hopachai is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hopachai manages to kick Vorhees off! Vorhees jumps back into Hopachai's guard.

Hopachai wants to get back to his feet but Vorhees is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Vorhees pushing down on Hopachai's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Vorhees is keen to just control but Hopachai is a slippery customer.
Hopachai is trying to get back to full guard.
Vorhees is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Vorhees works his way into side control.

Vorhees is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Hopachai looks calm but he's in trouble here. Vorhees gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Hopachai is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Vorhees lets go of the hold and Hopachai can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jason Vorhees!
