The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carween lands a left and a right that send Gugglebottom crashing to the mat, dazed. Carween thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Carween throws a series of punches but Gugglebottom avoids them all with ease.

Gugglebottom closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Gugglebottom is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Carween has escaped the position, nice work there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Horrible takedown by Gugglebottom or perhaps it was just good defense by Carween which made him look bad.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carween looks to land a left hand but Gugglebottom moved out of range nicely.

Carween tries to score with a low kick but Gugglebottom moves his leg out of the way.
Gugglebottom avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Gugglebottom feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Gugglebottom has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Carween defend it? Gugglebottom steps over the head and cranks it - Carween is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Gugglebottom!
