Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chunky Bard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Robert Jones will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bard looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jones is fending him off so far but Bard persists. Nope, Jones circles away and we're back to standing.
Jones thows a body shot but no joy.
Jones listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
A combination from Jones does no damage.
Bard shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jones pinned against the cage. Jones gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jones displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bard fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jones avoids it really well and circles away.

Bard changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jones tries to avoid it but Bard manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jones to the ground. Jones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bard misses with a takedown attempt - Jones sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Bard here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jones can do anything to dispel that myth.
