Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alejandro Cabrera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Farley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chuck Farley will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chuck Farley!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Farley cracks Cabrera with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Farley fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cabrera manages to avoid it.
Cabrera throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Farley's waist but Farley gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cabrera off to one side.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Farley is trying to control. Cabrera wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Farley shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cabrera defends it nicely.

Farley slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Cabrera wants to control from the top but Farley keeps moving.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Farley holds on and takes a little breather.

Farley looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Cabrera has picked Farley up and slammed him! Farley can't keep hold of the triangle and Cabrera manages to pass to side control!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Cabrera creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Farley sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Farley is not content to let Cabrera control the position.
Cabrera is working Farley over with some ground and pound from side control.
Farley manages to work his way to half guard, despite Cabrera's best efforts.
Farley is trying to control but can't.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Cabrera wants to work for an arm triangle but Farley is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Cabrera could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Farley makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Farley.

Farley is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Cabrera is surviving well by controlling Farley's body position as best he can.
Cabrera is bucking up trying to escape but Farley cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Farley swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Cabrera is now in Farley's guard. A big mistake from Farley there, giving up the dominant position!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Farley had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Cabrera defends it easily.

Farley has momentary wrist control but Cabrera slips an elbow through the middle.
Cabrera has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Farley is proving hard to escape from.
Cabrera might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Cabrera is fighting to break Farley's control of his arms but Farley is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Farley swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Cabrera counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Farley's guard now.

Farley is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cabrera defends well.

Cabrera got a little sloppy there for a moment and Farley has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cabrera has managed to get both his arms back between Farley's legs - danger averted.
Farley is breathing heavily.

Farley has his foot on Cabrera's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cabrera works his way back into a safe position though.

Cabrera stands and throws Farley's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Cabrera wants to lay and pray for a moment but Farley keeps working.

That was a close second round but I would say that Alejandro Cabrera will probably get the nod.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cabrera is on top in guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Cabrera is really struggling to control Farley but he's trying to hold on to the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Farley moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Cabrera wants to land a leg kick but Farley is out of range.
Farley will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cabrera tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Cabrera misses with a head kick.
Farley is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Alejandro Cabrera is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Farley scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Farley looks for a takedown but Cabrera sprawls well.
Farley scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Cabrera looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alejandro Cabrera. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cabrera lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

I think Cabrera has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
