Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kodarc Beastmaster! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bruce Kent! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Radbod Blank and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beastmaster throws a lazy right hand but Kent sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Kent shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Beastmaster as he jumps to the side. Beastmaster has a takedown stuffed. Kent closes the distance and clinches up with Beastmaster, looking for a takedown. Kent pushes Beastmaster against the cage but Beastmaster circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Beastmaster shoots in looking for a takedown. Kent tries to sprawl out of it but Beastmaster keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kent manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Kent is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Beastmaster's half guard. Kent seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Beastmaster does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Kent sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Beastmaster defending well though. Beastmaster could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Beastmaster is controlling Kent's position as best he can from this difficult position. Kent is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Kent stops Beastmaster from getting back to his feet.
Beastmaster is trying to control but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kent lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Kent missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Beastmaster keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Beastmaster kicks Kent off and gets back to his feet. Kent decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Beastmaster pushes Kent off and gets back to his feet. Bruce Kent seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kent misses with a wild combination.
Kent throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kent bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Beastmaster is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Kent tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Beastmaster regains half guard. Kent is keen to just control but Beastmaster is a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Beastmaster tries to get to full guard but Kent has control of the leg. Kent is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kent is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Beastmaster can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Beastmaster is breathing heavily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kent pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Kent lands a nice shot to the head. Kent scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Kent lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Kent loads up with a big shot that hurts Beastmaster! He's pulled Kent in close but Kent has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Beastmaster survive? More strikes from Kent and Beastmaster is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
