Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Fernando Neto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Happy Jack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Happy Jack is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fernando Neto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Happy Jack!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Russell Pearce and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neto throws the kick towards the body but Jack avoids it.
Jack takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Jack lands a body shot.
Neto thuds his right hand into Jack's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Jack is looking to score with low kicks.

Jack closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Neto to the mat! Neto manages to get full guard.

Neto working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jack doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jack manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Jack trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Jack lands a couple of elbows.

Jack avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Jack with a flurry of punches that miss.

Neto has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jack can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Neto is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Jack missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Neto is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jack defends well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jack postures up in Neto's guard and throws a big left but Neto blocks it.
Neto has momentary wrist control but Jack slips an elbow through the middle.
Jack pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Neto is keeping the position for now.
Neto controls Jack momentarily but Jack frees himself.

Neto is looking for a triangle but Jack pushes his legs off easily.
Jack loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Jack really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Neto. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jack cracks Neto with a solid left hand.

Jack avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Neto working for a triangle but Jack defends it easily.
Neto is breathing heavily.
Jack trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Jack lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Jack with a flurry of punches that miss.
Neto tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Neto throws a couple of heel strikes.
Jack prevents Neto from getting back to his feet.
Jack pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Neto is keeping the position for now.
Jack must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Jack works over Neto with some ground and pound from guard.

Jack postures up in Neto's guard and throws a big left but Neto blocks it.

Jack drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Neto dives on top into guard.
Neto wants to control from the top but Jack keeps moving.
Neto postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Jack should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Neto drops back looking for a leg! Jack is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jack manages to kick Neto off! Neto jumps back into Jack's guard.

Jack working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Neto doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Neto manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Jack thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Jack is looking for a triangle but Neto pushes his legs off easily.

Jack is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Neto defends well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Neto trying to control but Jack is working from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Jack needs to keep his hands up - Neto had a free shot at his head there.
Jack is looking to clinch but Neto is avoiding it.

Jack closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Neto to the mat! Neto manages to get full guard.
Neto is trying to keep Jack in close.
Neto looking for a sweep. Not yet Neto, not yet.

Neto had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jack defends it easily.
Neto is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Jack got a little sloppy there for a moment and Neto has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jack has managed to get both his arms back between Neto's legs - danger averted.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fernando Neto dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!



Jack clinches up with Neto and pushes him back against the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Jack fails to land.
Neto drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jack lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Neto.
Jack takes a knee right on the jaw!
Jack creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Neto prevents a body shot from Jack.
Jack tries to score a body lock takedown but Neto shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Neto works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Neto drops back looking for a leg! Jack is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jack manages to kick Neto off! Neto jumps back into Jack's guard.

Jack wants to sweep but no luck.

Jack postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Neto looks a forlorn figure.
Jack is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Neto can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Happy Jack has got the better of the ground game so far.
Jack breaks from Neto's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Jack cracks Neto with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Jack lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Neto wants to hold on but Jack pushes him away.
Neto is looking to get to half guard.
Jack fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Neto wants to control but Jack is having none of it.
Jack landing strikes, looking to finish!
Jack lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Neto is working to get back to half guard.
Neto tries to hold on but Jack pushes him away.
Neto is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Jack is landing with some decent strikes but Neto is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Neto is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Neto is trying desperately to improve position.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jack cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Neto is looking to improve his position but Jack isn't that keen on the idea.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jack landing strikes from the mount and Neto is in trouble!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Neto is hanging on here. He's in a desperate position.
Jack lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Happy Jack showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Neto moves out of range as Jack strikes.
A cross from Neto lands.
Neto throws a good cross that connects.
Neto slips a straight right by Jack.
Jack slips under a jab from Neto.
Nice uppercut there from Neto.
Neto fails in his attempt to clinch.
Neto scores with a sloppy right hand. Jack should have avoided that one.
Jack misses with a wild body shot.
Neto misses with a hook.
Neto circles away from the clinch attempt.
A combination from Jack does no damage.
Neto lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Neto keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Neto takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Jack will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Neto misses with a few strikes there.
Jack drops his hands momentarily and Neto takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Jack throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Neto counters with a stiff right hand.
Jack takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Jack misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Neto.
Neto with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Happy Jack seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jack throws a looping overhand right but Neto ducks down to avoid it.
Neto scores with a shot to the body.
Neto moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Jack throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Neto wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Neto catches Jack with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
A solid leg kick lands there for Neto.
Neto is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Neto avoids the body shot from Jack.
Jack gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Neto works the jab nicely.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Neto.

Jack on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Neto. Neto obviously looking to wear him down.
Jack walks into a left hand.
Neto dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Jack. That did some damage!

Jack doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Jack takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Neto throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Jack takes one to the side of the head.

Neto gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Neto works on Jack's body with a couple of short punches.
Jack takes a knee right on the jaw!

Neto connects with a knee right up the middle there - that's rocked Jack badly! Jack tumbles to the floor and Neto stands over him, dominant and satisfied with his glorious KO victory!
