0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Peter Twerin! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, William Gold and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Winner closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Twerin looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Winner moves into full mount! Winner controlling the pace for now. Twerin is in a horrible position here. Winner smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Twerin is rocked!
It looks like Peter Twerin has been cut. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Winner wants to control the pace but Twerin is squirming around nicely. Twerin is still in real trouble! Can Winner finish him? Winner takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Twerin seems to have recovered his senses. Twerin should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Winner can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Twerin is looking to escape. Winner pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Winner scoring with strikes but Twerin is staying in there. Winner has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Winner can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Twerin is looking to escape. Winner controlling from mount. Winner stands up from mount. Strange move. Winner fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Twerin sprawls well initially but Winner persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Winner wants to free his trapped foot but Twerin is holding on for dear life with his legs. Winner is trying for a kimura here. Twerin looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Winner wins by kimura!
