Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ryan O Riley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, James Dragoon! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Dmitry Maklakov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dragoon uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from O Riley. Dragoon shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with O Riley but O Riley pushes him off and we're back to square one. O Riley forces Dragoon back against the cage and clinches. O Riley tries to break free but Dragoon pushes him back against the cage. Dragoon wants to break the clinch but can't.
Dragoon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Dragoon lands a big head kick that sends O Riley tumbling to the mat! Dragoon takes a step backwards and waves O Riley back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Ryan O Riley has been cut. Dragoon tries to score a power double leg takedown but O Riley sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dragoon somewhat. O Riley gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dragoon lands a left hand.

O Riley feints and as Dragoon raises his hands in defense, O Riley changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. O Riley thows a big elbow that misses. O Riley throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dragoon works some decent striking defense from the bottom. O Riley with a flurry of punches that miss. O Riley works over Dragoon with some ground and pound from guard. O Riley stopping the sweep attempt from Dragoon. O Riley connects with a couple of short punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. O Riley decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Dragoon, up you get! O Riley cracks Dragoon with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Dragoon throws a left and a right that both miss
and O Riley counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Dragoon throws a right and a left that both miss. O Riley is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Dragoon takes one on the chin but seems OK.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. O Riley is trying to work for a kimura but Dragoon is defending well.

That was a close round but I would say that Ryan O Riley will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Ryan O Riley's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
O Riley closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dragoon did well to prevent O Riley getting side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dragoon keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Dragoon has one foot on O Riley's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. James Dragoon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. O Riley scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. O Riley throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Dragoon on the side of the head. Dragoon looks for a takedown but O Riley sprawls well. Dragoon shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. O Riley defends it nicely. O Riley throws a shot from downtown. Dragoon moves away and avoids it. Dragoon keeps the fight on the outside. Dragoon gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and O Riley counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. O Riley rushes Dragoon and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. O Riley tries to break free but Dragoon pushes him back against the cage. Dragoon is trying to break the clinch but O Riley has him pressed against the cage. Dragoon is looking to take a break and control but O Riley is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! O Riley is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Dragoon off and has taken his back! Dragoon holding both O Riley 's hands and preventing any damage. O Riley scores with strikes from the back.

That's two minutes gone in the round. O Riley gets his hands free as Dragoon looks to control. Dragoon controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dragoon wants to escape the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Dragoon has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Dragoon covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Dragoon is trapped and O Riley is scoring with shots to the head and body. Dragoon trying to control the hands but O Riley won't let him. O Riley is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Dragoon up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards O Riley.

Dragoon controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. O Riley is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. O Riley gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. O Riley gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. O Riley apologises and we restart here on the feet.
