Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between S S (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Goodman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). S S has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, S S!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ron Goodman!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Ackerman and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by S.
Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign!
Goodman tries to improve position but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sloppy strikes there by S.
Goodman is looking to reverse the position.
S advances to mount.
S fails to take his opponent's back.
Goodman is looking to get to half guard.

S with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
S moves to the back position.
S is hanging on to Goodman's back as he tries to escape.

S is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Goodman knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Goodman for a finish.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

S working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Goodman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Goodman manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

S wants to sweep here but Goodman controlling him for the moment.

S looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
S looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

S is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
S wants to stand up but Goodman is controlling him.
S seems keen to control Goodman's posture.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Horrible takedown by S or perhaps it was just good defense by Goodman which made him look bad.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

S gets the takedown into side control.
S taking a breather here.
You can see the frustration on Goodman's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Goodman looking for a sweep but S has passed into full mount! Oh no!
S looking to control but Goodman is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

S is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Goodman has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Goodman!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Goodman shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Goodman was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Goodman manages to capitalize on a mistake by S to take his back!
Goodman has the hooks in. S is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
S rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
S is pressing down on Goodman's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Goodman stands up and waves to S to follow him.

and Goodman holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Goodman tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
S lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Goodman is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Goodman breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

S forces Goodman back against the cage and clinches.
S gets underhooks to prevent Goodman's takedown attempt.

S wants the takedown. Goodman is fighting it off but S persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Goodman's guard against the cage.
S advances to half guard.
Goodman is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

S is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

S throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
S is trying to control the action in half guard but Goodman is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

and Goodman counters with a takedown into side control.
Goodman wants to lay and pray for a moment but S keeps working.
S tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Goodman wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

S is looking to get back to his feet here but Goodman is keeping cool and he's managed to take S's back.
S is in bad spot here.
S rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

S has one foot on Goodman's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
S fails with the takedown

and Goodman counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for S S. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Goodman is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
S wants to sweep but no luck.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ron Goodman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!



Goodman scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

S is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Goodman pulls his head out easily.
Goodman wants to lay and pray for a moment but S keeps working.
S is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Goodman's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Goodman's back!
S S overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

S is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Goodman is defending well though. S let's go of the attempt for now.

S looking to break Goodman's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Goodman remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise S will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

S has got his arm under Goodman's chin working for the choke… has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! Goodman has spun round into S's guard beautifully! Well done that man!

S wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Goodman is now in half guard.
S tries to get to full guard but Goodman has control of the leg.

Goodman is working for an americana but S has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Goodman was thinking about the submission.
S keeping moving, preventing Goodman from controlling successfully.
Goodman not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

S bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Goodman's guard.

S stands up and waves to Goodman to follow him.
S S is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

S shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Goodman moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
S trying to control the position from guard on top but Goodman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
S tries to free his leg and advance position but Goodman is retaining full guard.

S S showed his dominance in that final round.
I think S has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
