Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marius Budawalski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Art Vandelay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Budawalski comes to the cage accompanied by Terminator Theme. Vandelay has chosen Street Fighting Man by The Rolling Stones as his entrance music. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Art Vandelay! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Jorge Garcia and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vandelay lunges at Budawalski with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Budawalski's hand. Budawalski throws a hook but Vandelay avoids it easily. Vandelay looks to throw the jab but Budawalski is out of range. Budawalski keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
It looks like Art Vandelay has been cut. Vandelay blocks a jab. Budawalski is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Vandelay. Budawalski is looking to clinch. Vandelay looks to land a left hand but Budawalski moved out of range nicely. Budawalski pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Nice body punch from Vandelay. Vandelay keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Vandelay swats away the attempt to clinch by Budawalski. Budawalski lands a jab to the nose. Budawalski tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Vandelay paws at him with a jab and circles away. Budawalski pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Vandelay misses with a straight right. Budawalski throws a jab when Vandelay was well out of range.

Budawalski tries to close the distance and clinch up but Vandelay swats him away and circles back towards the center. Budawalski misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Budawalski misses the body punch and Vandelay counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Vandelay throws a jab but it's blocked by Budawalski. Vandelay closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Budawalski manages to get back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Budawalski keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Budawalski is not content to let Vandelay control the position. Vandelay is nestled in close to Budawalski, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Budawalski wants to get back to full guard. Vandelay looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Vandelay trying to control the action but Budawalski is working from the bottom. Vandelay is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Budawalski tries to get to full guard but Vandelay has control of the leg. Vandelay controlling the action here.

Vandelay is pressing down on Budawalski's thigh, looking to free his foot. Budawalski is holding on for now. Budawalski looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Vandelay trying to control the action but Budawalski is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Budawalski lands a glancing blow to the side of Vandelay's head. Vandelay avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Budawalski avoids a punch combination nicely.

and Vandelay counters with a nice uppercut. Budawalski throws a jab when Vandelay was well out of range. Budawalski is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Budawalski thows a body shot but no joy. Budawalski misses with a takedown attempt and Vandelay counters with a nice body shot. Vandelay uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Budawalski has time to react. Budawalski throws a jab when Vandelay was well out of range. Budawalski avoids the body shot from Vandelay.
Budawalski tries to clinch and Vandelay counters with a stiff right hand. Vandelay shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Budawalski manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Budawalski had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Vandelay defends it easily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Budawalski is breathing heavily. Vandelay advances position into side control! Vandelay trying to control the action but Budawalski is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Budawalski prevents Vandelay from improving position. Budawalski is looking to reverse the position. Vandelay wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Budawalski, who protects the arm well. Budawalski is looking for a sweep. Budawalski is not content to let Vandelay control the position. Budawalski gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Budawalski is looking to improve his position.
Vandelay is trying to control. Budawalski wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Art Vandelay dominated that round. The cut man is working on Art Vandelay's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Budawalski shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Vandelay counters with a takedown into side control. Vandelay tries to advance to mount but can't. Vandelay wants to lay and pray for a moment but Budawalski keeps working. Budawalski struggling a bit here. Budawalski is looking for a sweep. Vandelay in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Vandelay is looking to take a break and control but Budawalski is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Budawalski is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Vandelay is controlling him well. Vandelay trying to control the action but Budawalski is working from the bottom.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Budawalski tries to clinch and Vandelay counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Budawalski with a jab. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Budawalski lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Vandelay circles away quickly and effectively.
That's one minute gone in the round. Some wild striking there from Budawalski.

That has opened up Art Vandelay's cut even more. Budawalski gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Vandelay counters with a right hand to the body. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. A telegraphed right hand from Vandelay misses the target. Vandelay connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Vandelay shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Vandelay was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Budawalski tries to reverse the position but Vandelay maintains control. Vandelay is working for a guillotine from mount but Budawalski frees his head quite easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Vandelay looking to secure an arm triangle but Budawalski defends it well. Vandelay is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Budawalski has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Budawalski keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Budawalski gets back to half guard. Vandelay looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are battling for position here. Budawalski manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vandelay is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Budawalski has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Vandelay is looking to defend but Budawalski has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Vandelay! Budawalski pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Vandelay taps out and this one is all over!
