Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Osmo Keinanen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergei Karaev! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Igor Prikhodko and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Karaev. Karaev has a takedown stuffed. Karaev tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Keinanen swivels and escapes. Osmo Keinanen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sergei Karaev. Karaev looks gassed! Karaev fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Keinanen shoots in and drives through. Karaev sprawls well. Keinanen shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Keinanen was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Keinanen connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
It looks like Sergei Karaev has been cut. Karaev is desperately trying to improve his position but Keinanen has a good base and remains in mount. Keinanen raining down shots from the mount!
Karaev is rocked! Keinanen jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Karaev manages to avoid the submission attempt. Karaev is still in real trouble! Can Keinanen finish him? Keinanen trying to control the action but Karaev is working from the bottom. Karaev seems to have recovered his senses. Karaev is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Karaev is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Keinanen off and has taken his back!
That's one minute gone in the round. Keinanen manages to reverse the position and now he's in Karaev's guard. Nice work there by Keinanen.
Karaev has a closed guard, preventing Keinanen from standing up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Karaev wants to sweep but no luck. Keinanen trying to control but Karaev is working from the bottom. Keinanen is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Karaev is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Karaev has escaped and now he's on top! Karaev passes easily into side control. Nice work. Keinanen tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Karaev wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Keinanen gets back to half guard. Karaev is working for a kimura but Keinanen is defending it quite comfortably.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Keinanen wants to get back to full guard but Karaev has mounted him! Karaev trying to control but Keinanen is having none of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Keinanen is trying to reverse the position but instead Karaev has taken his back - oops! Karaev keeps control of the position as Keinanen tries to break free.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Karaev missing with strikes. Karaev lands a punch to the side of the head from the back. Karaev controlling well, preventing Keinanen from escaping the position.
Keinanen is working hard here to advance position. Karaev has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Keinanen is defending well but eventually Karaev manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Keinanen has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
